Thanks for your swift response friends. I did, all my paper work through a lawyer from Texas. He also said it may take time to complete process in 6 months to 1 year. But it is very hard to wait, especially after marriage. I am also seeing others experiences in the forum, is telling that to get NOA2 for I130 is taking 5 to 6 months, I filed my I130 on Oct 8th, priority date is 8th Oct. got NOA 1 on 15h Oct. waiting for NOA2 Approval. Wish me for the best and for to get the approval fast. Friends, please keep post your experiences. Thanks.

Now it will take only 3 to 5 months for California Service Center

I wish for all of us on this journey that this holds true :D

I filed the end of August, my priority date is Sept 7, 2010 still no NOA2 or even a touch since 9/15...but I feel it that it is soon on it's way. It has to be because there have been several others on here who filed around the same time, same location and in some cases spouses from same country who have gotten theirs just recently...so I am extremely hopeful and optimistic that ours is due to arrive anyday now. I know it's hard waiting and being apart from our loved ones, but at this stage it is all we can do, try to take some comfort in the fact that for one you are not alone in this journey there are thousands of us in the same boat with you and most importantly you and your spouse are taking great steps to be together forever, although difficult several months to a year apart is a relatively small price to pay for a lifetime of togetherness and happiness. In the meantime, you could always make sure that you have your next set of documents prepared and ready to submit as soon as you receive your notice and if you still are waiting when your 5 month mark comes around..then you have legitimate reason to call and ask them to look into your case. Hope this helps :D

Your initial approval with USCIS will take 5 months. Then another 2 months with NVC. And another 2 months with interview. So from the date you filed your application to the date when your spouse has his or her interview, it will end up taking about 9 months. Realistically speaking it may take a few more months. But you can cut down on the whole time but reading and following various guidelines available here on VJ. Some people get from A to Z in 5 or 6 months. Good luck.

My husband got his approval from the embassy yesterday. Our process took 9 months from start to finish. You can speed up your end of the process by gathering your documents early and reading through the timelines on this forum which will prepare you for each step in advance. The next step is that your case will be forwarded to the NVC. There are a couple more forms to file, police certificates to gather, and fees to pay. Once the NVC has everything they need from you, the case will be forwarded to the embassy. Our NVC approval came very quickly (5 weeks) but due to the November and December holidays, we didn't get scheduled for the interview for another six weeks. I think best case scenario is 6 months....but plan on up to 10.

Good luck to you! I know how hard it is to wait but you'll get there!

Niki
