We received our NOA1 dated Aug 26th from CA and of course nothing yet. Can't help but panic when I see fellow VJ'ers that filed a couple of days after us and they received their NOA2 4 weeks ago!!

I'm worried now that something is wrong; are we going to get our visa or not??? :crying:

Don't panick. Where can you see anyone that filed after you and got the NOA2 4 weeks ago?? (Doesn't count when you filed, only your NOA1 date.) I had a NOA1 July 28, I was watching all those early August filers getting it before me, believe me I know how you feel. Looks like the end of month dates suck, the same happened in June. I got my NOA2 just 2 days ago and all that frustration went away (though I still think the processing order is unfair). Hang in there.

The waiting is just starting to get to me...Haven't seen my love in nearly 4 months :-( I'm sure you know how it feels...

Some people get lucky and get their NOA2 earlier than 5 months. USCIS insists that everyone is processed in the order received, but we can clearly see that is big time BS.

Unfortunately, there is no clear pattern as to who is picked to be early and who is not.

That being said, nobody, not even Congress, will help you if you have not reached the 5 month mark. You will be there in about 2 weeks or so. Once you are there, start your phone calls and write to your Congress Member.

Apparently there wa a huge caseload so there's a lot of people that's waited over 5 months an it does not mean something's wrong, they just have a lot to do. I talked to a fellow swede that said that her husband had been at a meeting with them and thats what they told him. This concerns the ones that filed in July-august from what I understand.

My husband and I were lucky enough to get a military expedite which is the only reason why we didn't gt stuck with you guys. I know how much it sucks to wait but jut hang in there and you will get your visa. Hopefully as soon as possible!

That was an expedited application, the petitioner is active duty military personnel. At least he was mentioning he might ask for an expedite, check the post #11 here:

So, don't let this case make you feel bad.

And you believe this? Why? Because someone from USCIS said so? They have lied to VJ members many times, including the whopper of all lies, that all cases are processed in the order received.

They had a lot to do all right, but not exactly tending to their responsibilities to the U.S. citizens they claim to serve.

On October 3, 2010, many of our members received a "touch", which means that their files were moved in some way. Unfortunately, that "touch" consisted of moving their files into some back room storage closet to gather dust for months and months on end while our beloved fiances remained exiled in their countries of origin and barred from their rightful martial homes. And why? So USCIS could give priority processing to foreign charity cases and foreign workers (i.e. fewer jobs for U.S. citizens), the very same priority processing that USCIS denies giving anybody.

So don't believe everything they tell you. In fact, don't believe anything they tell you. I don't.

Also to add to that, I went through the K1 visa timelines (note: a lot are not updated etc + VJ represents a small number of filers, but all things considered...). Sorted by NOA2 date.

Between Oct.3-Dec.26 VSC approved 49 Petitions for VJers. Most of those were July with a few May and June in there. Based on USCIS numbers VSC recieved 5,489 new petitions between August-October. If the numbers were the same, the VSC then recieved around 7,000-8,000 new I-129F petitions from August-December.

They literally took almost every staff member off of I-129Fs to do the TPS, Work Visas, all the while loads of K-1s are piling up.

The only 'good' news if you want to call it that is between Dec.26-Jan.6, VSC has approved of 14 VJer NOA2s. That is just in 2 weeks, compared to 49 in 11 weeks (Oct 3. to Dec. 25). So VSC seems to have shifted resources over to I-129F petitions again, though frankly they should have every staff member there focusing on them and getting July, August, and September completed asap.

NOTE: All stats from VJ are based on updated/filled in timelines so there is room for error. Also VJ represents a small, yet good size, portion of all I-129Fs filed.

Maganda, we share the same NOA2 date. I hope we get movement soon. Waiting this long makes you feel like they put ours in the trash can though. As for calling I wonder it it would just make them look harder for RFE.

They have lied to VJ members many times, including the whopper of all lies, that all cases are processed in the order received.

So they are pulling cases from the middle of the stack first? Good to know.

Some people work faster than others, while some cases are less complicated than others. I guess that means they are purposely lying to us and taking ones from the middle of the stack.

(I have gotten to the point where I just skim over certain VJ member's posts because I know what they are going to be about. "Negative, angry, they lie to us, they hate us, they are making us miserable on purpose." etc. Working in an office myself, I understand how 'paperwork' goes. I can at least understand that.)
