Comments : Filed expedite request on 09 Nov 2010 due to military deployment. I kept calling back but didn't get any information until I filed a second expedite request at the behest of phone rep, which caused an email to be sent stating that CSC no longer had jurisdiction over the petition because it had been sent to NVC on 24 Nov 2010. I then called the NVC automated number and received my case number and that they sent our forms on 01 Dec 2010, so the expedite was approved and things are moving along after a nerve-wracking waiting period. :)

UPDATE (09Dec10): We followed James' shortcuts for NVC processing. After emailing NVC with same expedite request documents I faxed to CSC, I called NVC every day and found out yesterday that the ENTIRE case was forwarded to the Stockholm embassy for processing. They'll do everything at the embassy. :D

Embassy Review : I got there at 8.30, my interview was at 9. First I got to talk to a swedish lady for a couple of minutes. Then I paid the fee, gave her the receit and was told to wait. She also said that I might have to wait a while because two of the officers were sick this day. After approxiomately an hour I was called up to a window. They took my fingerprints, asked a couple questions about how we met, how his last marriage ended and then she said that they would send back my papers with my clearance soon. I asked her if I would find out then if I got approved and she said "You are approved" and i left the embassy unable to stop smiling. javascript:emoticon('')

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
