sent in an RFE over the weekend of dec 10..waiting for SIF or CC.....or a DNA TEST [bLEH]

well cant wait! hope its soon

Do you mind sharing what your RFE was? So others will have an idea. I hope you will get SIF/CC soon. :star:

Present!

Thank you for joining AlexJane!

We're in too... thanks for the invite!!! Good luck to all!!!

You're welcome. Glad to have you here! :)

I am so frustrated with the waiting. I submitted everything to the NVC. The IV packet was entered into their system on Dec 23, now I will must wait for 20 business days for them to complete their processing. OMG I must have received 10 emails requesting the IV packet even after it was received and now that they finally acknowledge receipt, I must wait again. I called the NVC and spoke with a rep to explain the police cert/court records will expire on Feb 25 and if we must get these records again with the translations, it will take 3 weeks. She said well then that is what you must do. They have no compassion for the amount of time and expense that we put into our cases. I am so tired of being treated as another case, not a person. Sorry for venting.

I'm so sorry about how they're treating you. But let's just hope that your case will be completed before your translated documents expire. I am wondering... if you will have a new set of translation done for your interview. I hope someone has a good advice about your case.

Count me in... SIF this morning! Whats next? An operator told me my documents were rcvd on the 8th and they're still under review.

Congratulations on your SIF Java917! Well done! It's the advance sign of "case completed". For some people SIF and CC are on the same day, others CC will be on the next day or two after SIF while I knew someone whose CC took about two weeks after SIF. Let's hope it will be today also. You should now look forward for an interview date. I am pretty sure the NVC will send you an email (Packet 4/appointment letter) once they already confirm your interview schedule with your consulate. Goodluck!:star:

MY son has got his Interview coming up soon, wish us luck

Goodluck! :star: I hope he's prepared already. :)

Thank you for your comments. I think that i will because they will need to validate if the most recent police cert/court cert has nothing on it. Casa is so difficult. I will just pray hard.

Oh, yes. I heard Case is a difficult consulate. Well, I guess I the best thing you can do is prepare and gather documents for the interview while waiting for the NVC so you won't be stressing much about them. Dox such as proofs, those that doesn't have expiration dates. May I know the validity period of your translation documents? Too bad they have expiration. I thought they don't. Oh and we will all pray for you and everyone's success :)

Hooray for this post! I am hoping we all get a SIF soon! Glad the holidays are over and NVC is back to work :D

Crazy that I was thinking the same that the holidays are over so the NVC can get back to work. I could not really enjoy the holidays because the NVC is slow. Will our waiting ever end???

Thanks Carlos' Wife for joining and hoping we'll all get that SIF soon. I'm stoked also thinking that the NVC's back on track again. I hope the weather cooperates and they wouldn't close unexpectedly just like what happened last December 27th. :star:

Couldn't agree more with you Kikapoo. Even if I'd get RFE in NVC it's not as worst as how I feel with USCIS. But I hope no RFE :P

You're counted that's why you were invited!

Yes, that would be THE BIG QUESTION. But whoever it will be, I hope all of us will be done with NVC this month. :star:

Please Help! Our both I130 & I129f are both approved...can anyone give me an advice which one is the most practical way to take . In my NOA@ I139 said "the NVC will contact the person you are petitioning beneficiary concerning further immigrant visa processing steps." does it mean will be waiting when they going to contact me? I thought my husband need to call the NVC to get the Case no & IIN????Im so confused please help! Thank you for your inputs in advance!

Thanks for joining Minted07. As to your question on second paragraph, I suggest you would post another thread so other people who are not or are already done with NVC and who have the same experience can share their ideas. Goodluck! :star:

NVC told me to call them later on this week after I called them today. I might have an interview date by this week! I'm crossing my fingers!!! xD

Thanks Melissa for joining. I know how excited you are. Goodluck! :)

You should email DS-3032 to appoint your husband to pay the fees and receive notifications from the NVC. You can use the template here on VJ. Please click the link below:
