(And as for the secret service, I think it would be perfectly fine to require women to register. Take it up with your senator.)

secret service guards the president, among other duties.

selective service registers males for the draft, should that ever be reinstated.

Sorry, typing too fast. Meant selective service, of course. Not sure how to edit.

correction - 70%

The Pentagon has concluded that allowing gay men and women to serve openly in the United States armed forces presents a low risk to the military's effectiveness, even at a time of war, and that 70 percent of surveyed service members believe that the impact on their units would be positive, mixed or of no consequence at all.

Typical lIberal, rather than have a civil conversation you replies back breaking the TOS.

Seriously, do my views make you "feel faint".....

I would break out the "**" term but I wouldn't want it to wrongly get mixed up in the topic at hand.

I DO replies back so typical and such! Emoticon! I would break out the "English" and "reasoning" but wouldn't want it to tax your synapses! ROFL!

I don't know about today's military, but 28 years ago any self professed ** would have gotten their head bashed in. It's the military, not some fairy bar in Frisco.

And no it's not natural for one man to "give it" to another man. Anyone who thinks that's "natural" needs a clue.

Why do homosexuals bother you?

500xshutterstock2131505.jpg

sigbet.jpg

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

It's not even 70% who are for it what they said was 70% said they thought the effect might be..

a. Positive

b.mixed

c no effect.

seems odd to lump Mixed in with the other two when tallying the score... "Mixed" results on a combat patrol, means what?

Mixed results in closing with the enemy means.. what?

Mixed results in the operating room means what?

Mixed results in gathering intel ... means what?

IN the words of General Carl Mundy, USMC (Ret.), 30th Commandant of U.S. Marines,

[T]he Military Times Newspapers revealed that ten percent of the survey population stated that if the ban on open homosexuality is lifted, they will not continue in service at the end of their terms of enlistment. Another 14 percent indicated they would consider not reenlisting. These are dramatic statements of attitudes by those in uniform that must not to be ignored....

Whatever your conclusions in this critically important matter, your ultimate decision must focus foremost on a single question: 'What do our armed forces gain – or what do they lose – from repeal of a law crafted to ensure their effectiveness in accomplishing the sole reason for which they exist?' That reason is not social reform; it is military effectiveness.”[

So, the one thing America does right - our military - is on pace to catch up with the rest of the world and you're happy about that?

I suppose you'll be happy when we have corruption, genocide and poverty as well. Or perhaps we'll be "fortunate" like other first world countries and live in a nanny state where our government tells us what we can and can't do. At least gays will be part of the dictatorship, provided our new dictators like gays.

Aww, it's cute how you think we don't have corruption, genocide and poverty already. And how you equate those atrocities with civil rights. And by cute I mean psychotic.

Civil rights are not a matter of popular opinion. If they were, the Democrats may still be withholding voting rights from Blacks.

The answer to all your questions above is..."Mixed results means the same it does now" The Gay doctor that is in the operating room now will do the same job tomorrow that he did today. The doctor that did my bypass surgery is...well, he might be gay. What if he is? Who cares?

If you had a lifelong friend and found out today he paid for prostitutes, would he still be your friend? What of he was Gay? Same thing. He was always Gay when he was your friend and you didn't know it.

Funny photo of Barney Frank, though!

Just because I believe in equal rights for all does not mean I have to take a pass on good jokes.

Personally, I find that jpegs as a form of riposte are the mark of a small mind. But what do I know, I'm just a girl.

Good point.

2. Of course there are Gays in the military, and there are people who use Drugs or people who belong to gangs or have other associations which they are quite about, all these people probably do a good job in their work capacity.... so whats your point?

Being gay=being a drug addict and/or gang member.

I just want to point this out as a useful diagrammatical component in my ongoing series, "Anatomy of a Batsh*t Homophobe." Thanks for all you do, buddy!
