Hey guys so I sent all of my paperwork yesterday by USPS express mail and I go to check today and it says: We attempted to deliver your item at 10:50 am on December 08, 2010 in CHICAGO, IL 60680 and a notice was left. You may pick up the item at the Post Office indicated on the notice

Did I send it to the wrong address?

I sent it to:

USCIS PO BOX 805887

CHICAGO IL

60680 4120

I just assumed it would have been straight up delivered to someone.

Well thanks for any help.

Filed I-751: December 29 2012
Rec NOA1: January 7 2013
Biometrics:January 25 2013

Green card approved: June 17 2013

Nobody lives in the post office box so no, they can't collect it immediately. Your parcel will be retrieved on the next business day.

Yes, but they didn't use an express courier, they used USPS (United States Postal Service), so address is correct.

OP- This happens a lot. Don't worry, someone will pick it up later today. It's something to do with PO Boxes, and some other rigamarole, but it's fine and normal. Good luck.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

Actually the instructions say for USPS deliveries the PO Box.

Either way there are HUNDREDS of posts exactly like this. The reason it says "couriers/express" deliveries is because companies such as DHL will not deliver to a PO Box, so a street address is required. It doesn't matter which address you send it to, or which company you use.

No-one lives in the PO Box so it cannot be delivered to someone immediately. Next business day it will be collected.

i am sorry.

i thought Express mail on page 6 means USPS express mail, and Courier deliveries means like fedex and dhl.

hmmm..now alil worried for us..we called the USCIS before sending our package and ask them if which address will we send our AOS since we will be using USPS Express Mail..they said that we will send it not to the PO box address...so that's what we do..we sent our AOS last Dec.7 thru USPS Express Mail to the address for couriers/express deliveries..we tracked it and it says that it was accepted and signed...lol..we know it was accepted & signed but should there be any complications then??..sorry, same thing, getting alil paranoid sometimes with all of this...one more, I have read a lot of thread saying you need to send the $1070 in just 1 money order...the USPS gave us 2 money orders, $1000 and $70 money orders separately coz their maximum amount is only $1000...ahhhhh...getting confused now and worries alot...God bless us all...

The maximum amount that can be made on a money order is $1,000. So the $70 will be in a separate money order. Both still have to be payable to U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
