Just wondering if anyone from VSC has received a NOA2 lately??? Or are people just not updating their timelines???? I'm going crazy over waiting - I know I still have to wait a bit for it, but I don't see anyone else getting them either...

"working on August" means very little.

all info passed on seems to reflect that USCIS is buried.

not all June visas for K1 are processed yet,

some are still left behind.

The early July NOA1 are trickling through after a long

and slow process time.

as for us - late July NOA1 , we are still waiting.

with a little tailwind, we may see NOA2 within

the next 2 weeks to clear July.

it is awful how long the delays have been but we all know USCIS

got buried by other types of humanitarian visas.

I feel most of all for servicemen and women especially the married ones..

read the story of the marine that died - widow left behind and no permanent papers.

best estimates on K1s run at 6 months - reality right now more like 7+

Am I the only one here who does not feel sorry for the poor, overworked government? These processing times are an absolute disgrace and a mockery of our sensibilities. There is simply no excuse for putting our lives on hold like this for such an unconsionable amount of time.

These people need to get their act together and do what we paid them good money to do. Plain and simple. No excuses.

By the way, I have been following the timeline, and it looks like they are moving BACKWARDS. Last week, they were working on August 13. Now they are working on August 4. What did they spend their last week doing? Revoking the approvals issued between August 5 and August 13?

Sorry to rant so much, but my patience with them is GONE. I mean TOTALLY GONE. I want my NOA2 NOW!

I think once they start focusing on k1's again we will see a lot of progress, like they have some catching up to do.

Joyjoy, I'd love to agree with you. Every fiber of my body wants to agree with you.

But alas, my experience (perhaps a better word is expsoure) to any organization, governmental or otherwise, that is not directly accountable to its clients and customers (Hmmm... that sounds a lot like USCIS!!), has no vested interest in "making a lot of progress", in being "better than the competition"... oh! that's right. They have no competition.

Ok, now that I've got that off my chest...

I too am very disappointed in this process and the nearly-zero-level of status that these centers are required to provide to the public.

I sent my petition in on 9/1 and received my NOA1 on 9/10. At the time that I sent it in, the processing time from NOA1 to NOA2 was at about 70 days. Yesterday the site said 112 days. tonight it says 128 days!

Their stated target, if I'm not mistaken, is 5 months (150 days). At this rate, we'll be beyond that in a few more days.

As you can see in our timeline, it has been 5 months since I sent our I-129F and I'm still waiting on our NOA2. I'm leaving in the morning for Vietnam for 2 months. So much for hoping to do an interview while I'm there. At this rate, it will be summer before an interview happens.

Just my luck. USCIS emailed me today (5 months exactly) to notify me that they are mailing me an RFE notice that will need my timely response with their requested information. But I'm flying out in about 8 hours. I contacted my attorney, gave him my contact details and contact details of my neighbor who will be checking my physical mail for me while I'm gone. Go figure the coincidence of the timing.

I wonder what else it is that they need? The attorney handled everything. Hope he can take care of it until I return. At least there is movement.

I'm sure you would feel differently if it were your service center that were lagging behind.

So if VSC is processing petitions from August, and CSC is processing them from July... is it 'fair' for those people at the CSC to wait longer?

If you were at the CSC and you were watching people who filed *after* you get approved before you just because of the service center, would that be fair?

I think one Service Center pausing to allow the other to catch up, or taking on some of the petitions themselves, just so that they really can be processing them in 'the order received', I think that would be fair completely.

hi, were the same. our NOA1 was July 13, touched oct 20&21 and thats all about it. until theres no any progress or update ever since. looks like they totally abandoned all K1 applicants. we called yesterday and the lady says processing for K1 range from 5month to 9 months, way far from their much published time frame and way far from most people who luckily got theirs done for as fast as 2 if not 3 months.

the lady also denied about prioritizing of humanitarian visas. theres someone in this forum calling all K1 applicants to all together try to get USCIS attention in giving us the due process we all deserve.
