Pretty much heavier rock like Led Zep, AC/DC, ZZ Top, to softer like the Eagles, Yes and Pink Floyd. Also liked Guitar rock like Ten Years After, Leslie West, etc. to some Southern rock like Charlie Daniels and so on. Of course being form Texas I thought Stevie Ray Vaughn was the best and seen him perform many times at clubs before he hit it big.

I did learn a lot about the Blues and Jazz while in New Orleans and found that Houston where I was born and raised had one of the greatest bluesman known. Was lucky enough to see that dude play many years ago.

Doo-Wop was popular when I was young, but none of that made me a real enthusiast.

Pete Seeger & Peter, Paul & Mary were probably my favorite folk artists (before Rock & Roll).

I included youtube links for those that may not be that well known as the top mainstream artists.

The very first album I remember buying is "Disraeli Gears" - Cream/Clapton - That absolutely blew me away

I got a CD of the Sex Pistols from the library, and thought I'd give them a listen.

I liked their edginess & aggressive persona and all the ###### about the Queen, funny stuff.

In the past, whatever I played, even Ozzy Osbourne was thought of by my daughter as "that sucks!"

It so happened at the same time as I got the SP CD I had my daughter and her boyfriend in the

back seat of the car. Then I put on the SP CD.

They started going crazy like the SP were some cool new music, LOL rofl.gif

Most of the bands I bet most people around here haven't heard of. But anyway...

When a teen in the mid to late 90's, punk rock bands like MxPx, Ghoti Hook, Slick Shoes, and others. But I liked different genres at the time too. Not just rock music. Also hip hop and R&B.

Probably my favorite MxPx Cd, "Slowly going the way of the buffalo" came out in 1998 when I was either 17 or 18. Some good attitudey music but mostly the messages in the songs were thought inducing, clean lyrics.
