to those who file i129F check this out http://www.visajourn...ive-month-hold/

I hope its not true :(

there doesnt seem to be any "hold" .... a september 2010 filer WOULD expect to be processed by february 2011; there is no 'hold' there involved, that IS 5 months. July 2010 - Dec 2010, and so on. the people in that thread dont appear to be doing their math

Edited by nab

if you gave your info (receipt #s, full name, etc) to anyone on VJ under the guise that they would "help" you through the immigration journey with his inside contacts (like his sister at USCIS) ... please contact OLUInquiries@dhs.gov, and go to http://www.whitehouse.gov/contact to report anything suspicious. Contact your congressman and senator's offices as well.

Got my transfer notice today. called customer service. No help really. Just that texas got petitions because california was too overwhelmed. I think I understood that there is a certain amount of employees for particular petitions and csc i-130 employees couldn't handle the inflow of applications. He said that the processing time starts from the original receipt date (doesn't start over with transfer) and that it is 5 months at csc at tsc but he assumes that the transfer to tsc should shorten the 5 month time (his guess not fact) and that the local offices probably (and should) have more information in more detail about transfers.

So basically I learned more from reading this thread. :crying: give me my husband!!!

guys.. i received an email and mail saying my case was transferred to texas center like many of us here... But right now i received another email... just saying that my case was transferred, this is what is saying:

Your Case Status: Initial Review The I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

the rest of the email is exactly like the first one.. the only difference is that this one doesnt say TEXAS CENTER, just that it was transferred.

Now i dont know if this is just they sent me AGAIN that my case was transferred to texas center or if my case was transferred AGAIN to ANOTHER USCIS center.... im confuse!

I started the thread to report and discuss what a NCSC rep told me--which is not typical. These were her words, not mine, and the info was unrelated to the purpose of my call. I have not heard or read that anyone was told there was a five-month "hold." Maybe you would not care about receiving similar comments, but I did and I wanted to see: (1) if anyone heard anything similar, and if so, what does it really mean; or (2) perhaps this was just some kind of aberration?

That I and now some others want to discuss and compare notes about this doesn't mean that we cannot do math or that we don't realize the rep might have chosen her words poorly (even though I specifically tried to confirm that she meant "hold" several times).

Yes. You could be correct. It might just be the five-month goal. I have acknowledged that, and because no one has received similar information, it is probably true. But, at least at the time I had the conversation with the NCSC rep, there are other possible explanations, too. And if someone doesn't realize that or doesn't care, well...

Anyway, good luck to all of you now at TSC. I hope it speeds up your NOA2s!

I know we are not near the 5 month stage, so can't worry to much yet.
