We had our interview today. It was quick interview (answered yes or no, name, dob, how we met) but never told us if we were approved or not and tell us that she will review my k-1 papers but let us signed a piece of paper saying:

" Pursuant to section 216 of the Immgration and Nationality Act, you have been granted conditional permanent residence in the United States as of the dare that you were admitted or adjusted to such status by an officer of the Citizenship and Immgration Services. You and your spouse must file a joint petition to have the conditional basis of your status removed; the petition must be filed within the 90-day period immediately preceding the second anniversary of the date you were granted conditional permanent residence status. If a petition to remove the conditional basis of your status is not filed within this period your conditional permanent resident status will be terminated automatically and you will be subject to deportation from the United states."

Should I be worried?

Should I be worried?

Congratulations! You don't have to worry about anything else for a year and 9 months. All of us adjusting from marriage will be granted conditional residency for 2 years then need to apply to lift conditions. Make sure you know about this, check out the guides.

Sarah-Jax I got the same thing today.. I dont know why they would wait so long to request more evidence it really doesnt make sense.. But at least that shows they looked at our papers, Thats the only good I see in it and hopefully when they get it they will approve fast!!

thanks for your comment and yes i hope its only something simple!!!! fingers crossed for that!!! but im not the only one whos case got transferred to csc and a month later receiving a rfe. saw you got transferred too,hope you get approved right away....lets first see what that rfe is all about =)

I think it will be something simple, i have seen it a lot for the K1 visa, for silly things like a signature they send it back, so don't worry it will be simple, at least they are looking at your case, for one part that's good news. My 485 haven't been touch, just my EAD approval yesterday, that's it.

Now more waiting, lol.

Let Us know what was the RFE about, there are more cases that got an RFE and that will be helpful.

Received my Permanent Resident Card in the mail today. Done with the USCIS for at least the next one year and some months. Now job hunting, any ideas on where to look for jobs? I wish the rest of us all the best in their journey.

Didnt get the paper in the mail today hoping for tomorrow.. I am really curious as to what they need.. I keep hoping maybe they clicked on the wrong thing HAHAHA wouldnt that be nice to get an approval in the mail instead.. So much for wishful thinking I guess lol

Interview this morning; approved. Questions were simple and easy: how did you meet, when is his birthday, where was the wedding, what are his parents' names, what is your address. Our interviewer was really friendly and nice but we could hear someone the in another office nearby just hanging onto their patience by a thread. It sounded like they were having to pull answers from the petitioner the way I had to sometimes fight my dad's dog to drop the ball.

I wish my case was NOT sent to CSC. You guys with interview have your cases processed much faster...
