NVC Filers - For NOVEMBER

John- I think I might be sending out my IV package today

Sam- The final decision about the AOS is made solely by the CO during the interview at the Embassy/Consulate. You should be fine but if you have something else like assets to help your case, you might want to include those as well. All of it depends on if you get a nice person or a hard person for the interview. I'm not trying to scare you again, just trying to let you know the real answer.

While NVC is sooooo much better than USCIS, many operators will give you different answers about the same question. As you can find on here, there have been cases where NVC says the papers are just fine but the CO says otherwise (because they alone have the final say). Those cases rarely happen and are usually at the tougher consulates but it is a good idea to keep this in mind.

Thank You. I've spoken to somebody about a possible co-sponsorship and will give it to my wife to bring with her to the interview just in case they ask for it.

It seems like CSC is finally moving along after being dormant for a while. Great news to all !

So this is really random, but calling the nvc a lot, and listening to the recordings made me think of this....anybody see the original 12 Angry Men???? The man on the nvc recording totally sounds like the little guy from that movie....I think he did the voice of piglet too....am I the only one who thinks this?!?!?

Good idea Sam! I hope that the CO follows the instructions and accepts your $2k over the line!

Tany- You could always google the piglet voice and the guy from 12 Angry Men and see if they match.

When listening to the AVR menu and AVR, does anyone else notice (or does this even happen to anyone else) that if sounds are going on in your background, the message skips a beat for a slight millisecond? Always makes me wonder if they are listening.

so I just got off the phone with an nvc operator....yes I know, I am getting obsessive... they said they received our case, but has not been put in the system yet...and that it will take 6 to 8 weeks for a case number....REALLY?!?!? :blink:

Hi everyone I posted this question in october but anyone answered to me, so probably one of them just give me a light in this:

I am very confused, my case is being handle by my husband's lawyer, and she said sthg like this in the email to my husband, hope she doesnt go into this lol well it says:

"Payments are in process, They ask you to check in 2 to 3 days to see that payments had process. I will check tomorrow. The Expedite on their part is allowing us to have all this documents on line instead of via regular mail, Colombia does not have the ability to send the rest of Docs on line so we will have to do the regular mail for the following steps. I will let you know. Do not worry, it is a process"

and of course I get worry cus I have seen all of you doing it online too, so what's the difference, and the rest of the process is not to send the AOS and the IV package docs to NVC and then to wait to get the SIF and then they will forward it to the embassy which will assign the appointment for being an expedited case? I am sorry if it is a long question, hoe I had been clear i my concerns,
