Yes, this process sucks overall. It's not fair to those who have been waiting more than 5 months since they filed...but at the same time, those people who have been approved early are not at fault either. I think it's safe to say that the amount of time one has been waiting for an NOA2 does not reflect the amount of time one has been waiting to be with their loved ones. For example, it's only been 3 months since my NOA1 but I've been with my SO for almost 4 years now, and we made 6 months married the other day. These 3 months have just been additional to the 4 years I've been wishing things could be different...wishing that we could have been in one country since the beginning. If someone gets approved after only 3 months, good for them. Who knows how long they have been together in a long distance relationship, praying for the day the could live in one place. They somehow got lucky, and others didn't.

I gave up trying to understand this system  I feel for all of you who have unjustly been made to wait longer, but am honestly happy for those breezed by. In the end, we all deserve to be happy

couldnt agree with you more :) well said......me and hubby are going on 5 years now, married for 1 year, and 2 beautiful babies who miss their daddy to pieces....even though i wish i were one of those approved in a month or 2 or 3, I am so happy for those were lucky enough to have the approval that quick! we will all get through this and the support of VJ is incredible! i have made and met some amazing lifelong friends here in my portal and honestly most of them is what gets me thru this!

*becomes zen* Not going to bother checking the timeline; I've got both email and text notification on, so the NOA2 will come when it comes.

Of course, sooner is always preferable to later, but as long as it's within 6 months, I can deal.

Holding my nose and jumping off the cliff.. hope I don't hit any rocks in the water.

Excellent point! If I go on past the 5 months I am going to be PISSED, but not at the breezers. No, ill be cross and the slackers at the USCIS who have left my file in a dusty corner!

Ive been with the hubby for 3 years now, and 3 months married tommorrow! If id have known how long this damn process would take I think I may have tried to get a start on it all sooner, but I naively thought that marriage would give you more of a headstart than an 8 months + process!

Just an update: 2 months since NOA1 today. Hoping and praying that a month from now ill be announcing an NOA2, but we'll see!

when the "last updated" date on the uscis site changes that's when people say they were "touched"

it isn't a big deal though. nobody really knows what it means. a "touch" can range from it's getting worked on to someone accidentally sneezed on it.

anyway, good luck with your journey.
