Are there any March filers out there that has been completed with the NVC part of the process yet? Or, has an interview date set up? We, my husband and I, are still waiting and were wondering if others out there have been processed yet. Thanks :)

yes - I filed 2 I-130s on March 9, 2010 and was approved i think on June 28, 2010.. And we completed the NVC stage on Sept. 13, 2010 and we have 2 interviews set for November 1, 2010 @ 830.

What part are you waiting on..? Have you gotten to the NVC stage as yet..?

Yes, Ricardo, we have paid all of the fees and submitted the packets... just waiting now for some kind of word. Did they inform you by email? How did you find out?

Thanks, Teya. :star:

No.. They will NOT notifiy you that that the submitted packets were reveiwed or accepted. If all documents sent are accepted the NEXT time you would hear from them would be for packet 4 which is the medical/interview.

I called them for a few weeks after I sent off the documents to see if THEY were reviewed. They tell applicants to allow 6-8 weeks for document review... but lately they have been getting the docs reviewed in 2-3.5 weeks. The AOS is reviewed much quicker the DS-230 they probably take 3.5 weeks.

I looked at your time line .. so yours took 5 month and about 1 week to be completed. I saw that you filed the I-129f and I-130.. .. the i130 was sent like 3 months before the I129f... but you were married by then.. so why the I129f..? I think this could have caused delays in your case.

I was told by an immigration attorney to send the I-129F to help get my husband over here quicker. The I-129F was accepted too, but closed due to the I-130 being accepted. I know that they received my husband's packet on the 4th of October, and they have had my packet for a few weeks now. Just want this final process to go quicker!

It's a common misconception about the I-129, it is an unmarried petition, however, by submitting the I-129 along with the I-130 it is said that the I-129 MAY complete quicker than the I-130. Quite acceptable but in USK's case, she submitted it too late (after the I-130) which meant it served no purpose...

So saying it might have delayed the application is a very good possibility... and now you said that... I was concerned about the time frame ... should have been a lot quicker.
