Hi Kim is in England rigt now as I am in the U.S. Navy deployed at the moment. We sent our k-1 visa package in mid August. I havent recieved any word about it yet nor has she. When did you submit yours and have you got a date back yet for when the interview is supposed to be?

You will probably not have word about an interview until December or so. For the NOA2 approval it takes about 3 months and then your application is sent to the National Visa Center which sends it on to London. Once London gets it they send paperwork for your fiance to fill out and after that is sent back you are put in the queue for an interview.

However, if you are deployed you could possibly qualify for an expedite.

England.gif England!

And in this crazy life, and through these crazy times

It's you, it's you, You make me sing.

You're every line, you're every word, you're everything.

Count your comparative blessings. In Ecuador, one can practically count on being hosed.

Tman, Si man, can you add a little more critical analysis to your superfluous comments? Specifically, how much harder it is to petition a beauty from Ecuador, in comparison to Pakistan, Egypt, Afghanistan, Nigeria, Russia, Philippines, Mexico, Etc.

Thanks for adding some intelligence and real info here.

Already so much sarcasm and condescension here.

I added a page in the package that states that I am deployed. I dont know how to really apply for an expidite thought. Is this something they would just do anyways without asking or no? Do you think the process will be completed by March thats when I return and I am hoping for her to move to the U.S. then.

Itz EZ to just refer to a link what everyone ELSE is thinking. Wanted to know what YOUR thought process is on the matter. Guess there is not much to assess. Dont work too hard today.

It is perfectly possible that it will be completed by March. But also possible that it won't be. Estimates are hard to give as it varies quite a bit: one month everyone will be working their socks off to approve petitions and the next month they'll fall asleep or something. If you and your fiancee ensure you are aware of what you will have to do once the petition is approved you will be ready to have the interview at the earliest possible date.

My petition (I-130 for spousal visa) was approved extremely quickly. I am vaguely wondering if military, because they have secret clearance, get through the namecheck bit of the process faster. I have no proof of this, just would be interested in finding out! Good luck :-)

Why don't you start a topic of your own? You can also do a search and look at other timelines to answer your questions as these are fairly common and have been asked many times before.

I say this because in the internet, it's considered a little rude to change the topic to something else from the original poster's questions.

Good luck!

When it comes to k1 visas, the circumstance of your case and your amount of evidence determine how easy the process will be for you and not just the consulate. I went through the US embassy in Nigeria for a K1 visa and it was a painless experience. I am surprised that some people here are tagging Nigeria as a Terrorist country alongside Iran and Yemen. The fact that the stupid Nigerian guy was indoctrinated by Alqueda does not make Nigeria a terrorist country, so please be informed that the US have taken Nigeria off the terrorist list!!

Being that the UK was formerly our "Mother Country"

it's safe to say that nepotism is alive & well regarding

applicants from across the pond.

That having been said, it's

rather the USCIS's attitude toward UK beneficiaries;

the UK does not give approval to visas for the US.
