Does anyone know the best way to follow-up on AOS and speak to someone whose not reading a script?

When I went in for my infopass appointment I asked that question. The lady said you could ask for the level 2 support person and they could forward a message to the local office handling the file and get a response.

We were not approved or dis-approved and no RFE and still no word. At our infopass apointment we were only told they were still working on the file. No updates on the USCIS.gov website. After 2/13/11 we will be at the 4 month mark and be able to request a status update because it will be beyond normal processing time.

Hope this helps

Thanks for responding, its just so frastrating not knowing one way or the other.

I called late yesterday and the lady kept reading word per word as its written on the site which was updated 10/14/2010 - since then we've had BIO appointment on 11/15/2010 and were interviewed on 01/05/2011 but website still shows initial review. So I waited for her to finish then told her, i already know that part b'se thats all I'm seeing on the website she said she doesnt have access to my case beyond that point. I asked to speak to someone who does so she transfered me so some other lady who sounded mean from the minute she answered the phone, she asked for my case number and looked around, noted that its past "normal processing time" but said I need to give them an additional sixty days which will be sometime in March. I asked her that I thought its four months from day they received the paperwork she backpeddled and said that is not written in stone and that every case is handled differently blah blah blah. she was so mean about it so decided to end the call cause its was just a waste of time talking to her.

When I went in for my infopass appointment I asked that question. The lady said you could ask for the level 2 support person and they could forward a message to the local office handling the file and get a response.

I would try calling again next week chances are you will talk to someone else that will be more helpful.

I had talked to a guy about a problem with getting my wife's information updated A# still had maiden name so Social Security would not issue her a new card for that reason even though we went in with her EAD with her married name on it :bonk: . Plus this guy even did something on the computer that would have the office look into the situation, sounds like the lady you talked to just want to sit there and play games on the computer lol.

My country of birth is Slovenia.

So, yesterday I had nothing to do and spent the whole day watching public television, and a travel show about Slovenia came on! I thought it was so interesting! I'd really like to visit Slovenia some day. The architecture in Ljubljana was beautiful, and Alps looked so peaceful. Lovely :luv:

Green Card approved today without interview. 2 weeks shy of the 4 month processing time

Congratulations!!!

Oh ! :luv: Your words melted my heart ! :)

I' m glad you caught the travel show about Slovenia and found it interesting. I believe I watched the same show sometime ago, when already in US. Did they show Bled ( and the little island with a castle ), Ljubljana ( the capital ), Skocjan cave ( the caves under UNESCO ), Piran ( an old town on the Slovenian coast ) ? Slovenia its an amazing country. It occupies such a small area in Central / Eastern Europe but has it all, mountains ( Alps ), sea ( Slovenian coast ), Carst ( underground world with rich fauna & flora ) , villages, towns, cities which are hunderds and hundreds years old . . . You can read more about it here :

-

Official video of Slovenia for advertising purposes ( made for CNN, American public )

Have fun exploring ! :)

As for our immigration issues, we contacted the USCIS offices in Phoenix, AR and are now waiting for them to correct the error on my GC. We hope it won' t take long.
