Each application for entry is decided separatly. No answer to 'how many times' because it really is 'as many times as they allow you"

Good luck

A rough guide is that you should spend more time outside the USA than inside in any rolling 12 months period. But as mentioned, it is up to the border officer to decide. I would bring proof that you intend to return home (letter from employer, enrollment in university, lease, bills, bank account details etc).

It's a rolling period- they count back 12 months from the day you are trying to visit again. So if you fly to America on Friday- 1st October this year, then they will look at 1st October 2009- now.

They look at the pattern.

USC's do not get 3 months holiday, 2 weeks is the norm.

Build up a pattern and you will have an issue.

There is no reset.

so they don't care that my first time in america was august 11th 2009 or it is good for me? i'm sorry i'm must be not so clear but i want to be sure because i'm a little bit scared!

Look at the visa type that you have, if it says "multiple entries", it means you can use it as many times as you like, so you do not have to wait a year to use it again, my mom comes once a year (on a tourist visa, multiple entries)and when she's here sometimes she goes to the caribbean and comes back with no problem, just do not stay longer than what they tell you. Answer the questions they will ask you clearly when you come and they'll probably will not have a problem with it.

This past time that my mom came she was given a "hard time" (according to her) because they asked her "why she stays for so long when she comes" (ussually 3 to 4 months) but she explained why and everything was fine.

Come whenever you feel like it, especially if you have an UE passport...

Good luck!

FYI France is a VWP country.

It is the VWP

A tourist visa is something else.

If you have a job or school in France then you could spend all of your vacation time in the US and not worry about it, so long as you had good proof of your job/school.

Otherwise, there is no guarantee but as a general guide: if you enter America for a stay of X days and the last time you were in America was Y days ago, then if Y is greater than X you are fine.

Which isn't to say that you can't visit more often than that. Here is what I did last year:

1 1/2 weeks in America, 1 month in UK

2 weeks in America, 3 weeks in UK

1 month in America, 1 month in UK

3 months in America, 5 weeks in UK

6 1/2 weeks in America.

(Then 3 weeks in UK before moving to America.

As you can see, I visited quite often. There are even people who succeed in spending 3 months in US, a week abroad, then 3 months again. But that would probably not be a good plan.

There is no guarantee that you will be allowed into America when you visit. However, the number of trips you make does not matter. If you wanted (and had endless money!) you could spend every other week in America.
