It could. If the CO at your interview thinks you're legitimately married, and you show emails, letters, etc. where he's called you his wife, it could.

I've heard of some CO's trying to trip up an applicant by calling the fiance "wife" or "husband", and the applicant is supposed to politely correct them. Just remember to do this and you'll be fine.

if you meet once its fine, just have pictures and such to prove you were there. and if he says "your Husband" Just say "Were not married yet, he is my fiance." and smile. dont worry im sure it will be fine!

i mean me and my husband are married but i call him everything i call him my hubby, fiance, boyfriend. But just dont use it infront of them cuz they will think more of it and think you realy married.

The use of "wife" and "husband' has gotten denails of people on VJ before. I suggest you get out of that habit now (especially if it is in any text messages or e-mails you intend on submitting as proof of on going relationships). One VJ member was denied a K-1 because at their engagement ceremony her father gave her fiance money which was seen as a dowery by the consluate and indicated marriage.

Don't complicate your case. Make it easy for them to approve you. If the term 'wife' is used, it's REALLY hard to take back at an interview

I concur with the denial part. Some consulates are really bad about such. I would recommend asking asking him to call you a different pet name. I would hate to have you get denied just because that is in all your chats. Sweetie, loveee bugg, anything that doesn't imply married.

thanks for all the suggestions, those r really help me, i hv told him not to call me wife again until after married, he also like to call me sweetheart, my love, honey , but think i wont submit any chat when he called me wife on that

It won't matter as long as it's just in personal moments between the two of you;

you're going for a K-1 and you don't want the USCIS to get the wrong impression -

that you have had a marriage ceremony necessitating another kind of visa.

It's better not to submit any chats, emails, etc. with him calling you wife.

My wife always called me her husband before we married, but we just

kept that between ourselves.

Another vj's have been badly because anything that can make the officer think that they are married. So if you dont need it dont do that in public

Don't use the word "Wife" or "Husband" when filing or interviewing for a K-1 visa. You are applying for a FIANCE visa, that only applies to FIANCES.

Having said that as long you have met with in the last 2 years of filing your petition you should be fine. Although, if you have a difficult embassy you may want to make a few more visits. Make sure you have proof that you have met.

My wife got a tourist visa before we filed for our K-1. If you can afford it, try to get the tourist visa 1st then apply for the K-1 if you can do this. Then after you apply for the K-1 you can visit while you wait for the K-1 to be adjudicated. Of course I'm making this sound very easy but you should look into it more for yourself and see if this can work for you. It worked for us. But there are many different variables to be considered.

Add to the Edit: Just saw that you have already filed for your K-1. You can still try for the tourist visa but, it is even more of an uphill battle.
