The other poll didn't work for couples who met in person so I thought I'd include everyone :)

We waited over a year...it just worked out that way. We met...hung out sporadically all summer (hard to find free time as camp counselors), were apart all year, and saw eachother at camp again that NEXT summer...it was after camp that summer tha we finally did...

the waiting made it even better :)

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

We met in Aug 03' ..............I didn't go back to Dublin for almost another year. We didn't wait too long after I got there :P

Tecnically a year-but only because we were 3000 miles apart. I totally agree, the waiting made it better. If we weren't an ocean apart-I don't think I would have been able to resist him

we met 3 years before having sex, but we only saw eachother in person for 1 day in 2000, but after meeting again in 2003, we waited 2 days

I got into Bucharest on December 29, and on New Years eve, we were making our special night :P

not many ppl met in person, huh?

We met in a pub in dublin in december 2003. My wife had just moved to dublin a month earlier. She had originally applied for a job in london but when she got the job they changed the location to dublin.

The wait was about 3 months.

I made a guess, because I actually can't remember the exact timeline. Somewhere in between one and three weeks, but I put one (it was probably closer to that end). It just wasn't on the first date! ;) We weren't friends first, so we got right into things :P

We met in June '02, no relationship, just friends, but then he was back in the US in May '03 and we said "what the he**" and decided to have a no-strings-attached fling. Some months later that became a relationship, he moved to the US in February '04 and boom! we decided to get married.

We are not normally very spontaneous people, btw. This was uncharacteristic of both of us (of course, the quick wedding was somewhat prompted by our dearly beloved USCIS--he proposed with about four months left on his visa, and so it was either marry within those four months or go through the K-1).
