How many case status circles do you have?

I went to USCIS to set up the information for automatic case status updates and noticed on the main page that there are 9 different circles on the page that can go blue as the process goes along.

When I entered my case number and went to my personal status page I only see 4 of the 9 possible circles. Does anyone else have less than 9 circles as well or am I the odd ball as far as this goes?

Hello, it's normally the same for everyone as the USCIS uses the same page for all cases, depending what your case is regarding, u might only have one or 2 circles to get to the end.

O.k. Thank you for the reply.

So are you saying that if they don't need to go through certain parts of the process for my case it's not unusual for them to actually remove those circles from my page?

They updated the website last night. It seems to me that they have tailored the circles shown to the exact petition you have filed. In other words, they have removed the circles for stages that don't apply to the particular petition/form you have filed. I know my I-129F only shows 4 circles now, not the 7, 8 or 9(?) like before.

What I just noticed is that there is no longer a 'Request for Evidence' (RFE) circle for my case... It goes straight from 'Initial Review' to 'Decision'. I wonder what that means in terms of the overall process?

Today I have only 4 circles. I remember having more in the past (don't remember the exact number, maybe 7). Possibly there is a problem with the site today, or they have changed the site?

Same thing happened to me. Thought there was something wrong with my case, and just frantically wrote a post to may filers to see if anyone knew what was up. Glad to see other people are experiencing this, whatever it means.

Thanks for sharing guys! I feel a lot better now knowing that I'm not the only one seeing this.

Who knows why this is happening....all I can hope is that it means USCIS is trying to streamline the process to make it more efficient.

I ended up getting an email and mobile alert of approval a little while ago--not long after I posted that I noticed the 4 circles on the USCIS site. So maybe that's a good sign for everyone who saw this change on their on-line status. Hope so!

Well I think this is just a change in USCIS web site because I haven't had my Biometric yet and I also have the 4 circles.

So nothing extraordinary to be worried about.

Wow! That's awesome...congrats!

Please tell me, does your status still say "initial review" or has the blue come up in another circle now since you've gotten your approval? Also, did your "card production" circle appear or is the last one still "post decision activity".
