The other question is: Will it be a problem for the USCIS if they find out you are enrolled in school. I would not think so, but maybe someone can enlighten me a bit about this. I too want to have my fiancee study while we wait for the AOS once married

Talking about schooling. What about flight training? (This is getting really case specific sorry!)

I am a pilot in Europe and I need to take a course (a week!) to complete my checkride and have my American commercial pilot license.

I got in touch with TSA but they asked me to ask my question to USCIS to find out. Reason is that I wanna do my training ASAP and not start this little training as soon as I have my greencard.

Do you have a number at USCIS to call to maybe find out?

Thank you

Yes, this was actually my question. I'm not concerned about being accepted into a class. I know that it will be relatively easy. What I want to know is, is it a problem for USCIS? Are there rules forbidding it? May it come up at the interview and would it effect the case? If anyone knows please tell us.

I thought the 'flight school' would know the current regulations governing 'who can attend in USA' ?

Seriously !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I suggest you call the place where you want to enroll and ask them what documentation you need in order to do that. Rules vary depending on the College and on the State. Here in Virginia I can't attend college until I have a GC, I called to the university I'm planning on attending once I get my GC and then said in order to be enrolled I needed it. So the best answer to this is just call and ask. It doesn't hurt. :)

Please refer to the questions above to answer. I thank you for your help but the question was concerning something different.

The answer is USCIS does not care if you attend school or not while you wait for your green card.
