Well are you just going to leave it in the closet. Aren't you going to hang it on a wall or have it made into a mobile?

Did you read through that and make sure you understood why I posted it before you ASSUMED I was being rude or mean? <---- That face is a blink. As in a raised eyebrow, as in WHY would you need it...I haven't seen it. Do we need it? Panic because I am about in that stage myself and trying to figure out why THIS is suddenly coming up.

So before you make any assumptions, perhaps you should ASK or QUESTION if someone is really being rude before you ASSUME you know what their intentions are...I do believe that post also went in to how people misinterpret written word all the time on the internet...

You can trust me on this. When I am being rude, you'll KNOW without a doubt I am being rude. If I was being intentionally rude it would have said "Why in the F*&^ do you think you need a chest x-ray to enter the country?"

They need your chest x-ray because they want to make sure that you are healthy; especially, they want to check to make sure you don't have respiratory problem. Most of respiratory diseases tends to rapid widespread than others, e.g. H5N1, etc. That's why some of applicant failed the TB test and had to take the x-ray.

Health is also a factor that might affect the application's decision under some circumstances because they want you to be healthy and capable of working when you gets to the States rather than be ill and sick and live off their well-fare funding.

Peace for All.

By the way, didn't the place where you took your medical exams gave you a copy of the paperwork before they sealed off the original!?!? You should come there and ask for a copy of those paperwork. I believe all locations will make a copy of those for themselves in preventing "back-fire" :)

The x rays are souvenirs for you to keep I guess. My wife packed hers around when she entered but it was never asked for.

When I had my interview at the Vancouver consulate I was told I would need my x-ray for my POE. I would assume that the OP was told something similar or read something on the board that gave her that impression.

To the OP, you're fine without it :) I had mine with me in the car when I POE'd and the CO didn't ask for it at all.

Good luck with your POE!
