This person is completely WRONG and appears they are applying the rules for applying for K1 VISA to when AOSing from one... and they aren't the same. Actually those might be the I-130 rules while in the US, or maybe the K3 rules or something.. just because of the reference to wedding pics....

Again, as a K1 AOS applicant you DO NOT NEED to submit anything like the PP wrote. Not to mention, the reference to owning your own home being good evidence is ludicrous. They don't care as long as you live together.

Also it is important to remember that some countries have higher fraud rates and are looked at more closely both when applying for the Visa, and AOSing.

ronnieLee's case is totally different. They didn't apply for AOS for a very long time, but their main problem was not co-mingling their money. After almost 3 years of marriage, they had no joint bank accounts or joint tax return. That's why the officer was quite strict with them and asked them to provide more than cards and pictures. And it was at the interview where they were asked for the evidence. You DON'T mail in the evidence with the application. And you don't have to buy a house just to get approved. The USCIS will approve you even living with Mom.

I don't "suggest" I'm right, I know I'm right. As stated by Nich-Nick the case you are referring is EXTREMELY different to the OP. Please read the I-485 instructions and direct me to where it says evidence must be sent with the application. You won't find it because it's not NEEDED. Some people do it, but it's not needed for the PAPERWORK, it's needed at the INTERVIEW.

We sent proof in our packet. By the time our interview rolled around, the IO had already looked at it all and said she didn't need anything else from us.

GC Process& Procedures

GC Eligibility

GC Adjustment Of Status

Look at 4. and read this ........... When filing Form I-485, you must read the Form Instruction carefully and Submit all required documentation and evidence required for your particular Category.Failure to do so ,may result in your Application being delayed or possibly denied for failure to establish that you are eligible to Adjust Status.

And just type in your Computer Search for ......Adjustment Status, It will appear, ***removed***, there you can find the AOS Procedure & Requirements.

there it says. This .........Fiance(e). If you were admitted into the United States as a Fiance(e) of a US Citizen, married Citizen within 90 days, the FF:

. Birth Certificate

. I-864

. A Copy of your Mariage Certificate

. A Copy of I-94

and all the Forms Connected to Form I-485.

They are Asking A Copy, not the Original , because the Original is the One you have to present during Interview.

well will see, we talk and give views, hope it's for the Best of Us. Good Luck.

We sent no "proof" other than the marriage certificate.... CSC approved WITHOUT interview.... What we provided (which was nothing) was all they needed.

YMMV

Spectacular. I was just sharing my personal experience, as others have been doing in this thread.
