I just called the NVC. I went through the phone AVR and after entering my WAC # it said I was not in the system. Okay I guess thats right because I was only approved on the 14th. So my question is, can I count on the AVR and just keep checking it for a case number. Then after 2 weeks of waiting speak to an operator. I see in LingChe's Shortcut is said it could be scanned but not in the system. SO when do I opt to speak to an operator? I dont want to waste their or my time unless there is some hope of getting what I need. :blush: I figure I am a bit early expecting a Case Number so soon.

I just talked to an operator and they gave me my case number. Yours might be ready too if you talk with them.

So im reading NVC shortcut and i am confused on one part.

When your case has been manually input, the DS-3032 and AOS (Affidavit of Support) fee bills will be generated.

Also, when the AOS fee bill is generated, your IIN (Invoice Identification Number) is created.

Note - it may be possible that your IIN is created when your NVC number is created...THIS is the time to begin the quest for the IIN, but when requesting, ask for Invoice ID Number, not "IIN".

Now should i call in a couple of days and request for the Invoice ID Number or just wait till they email me the AOS fee bill?

Your IIN will be on the last page of the pdf file attached to the email NVC will send you. You do not need to obtain it from the operator. This is the email that gives you directions to pay online when your AOS Fee Bill is generated. At this time, this email arrives in one business day (in some cases same day) after you have given the NVC operator you and your spouse's e-mail addresses.

The Jesal- The IIN part should be deleted from there. That is how it used to work. Now they sent that to you in the AOS/DS3032 e-mail. :).

I was waiting on sending my AOS packet and DS230 until I could get my son´s case number and then send DS3032 and further info, but NVC started to process some cases electronically for Ciudad Juarez, Mexico now I have to scan and email required forms only for his case, which means I can send my wife´s packets, but I have a question. It is possible to send AOS and DS230 packets in one envelope? Cover pages for each packet have a slight difference, DS230 says "Attn. CMR" and AOS says "Attn. CMR AOS" other than that the address is the same 31 Rochester Avenue Suite 100 Portsmouth, NH 03801-2909

yeah you can send them together! and have the cover letters for each section be on top. you can also clip them together so you have 2 nice seperate files.

OK so my wife was able to get police cert. and she will mail the documents to me on monday and next week friday i will send em to NVC....

Now... my I 864 was delivered almost 10 days ago and nothing ... they have not updated my case. or entered into theur system.. whats going on... and also... i did not write my case number on upper right hand corner of each page... maybe thats why? even the operator told me yesterday that they dont have my I 864 package. and dont see if it was received ny them too... damn ...

the usps delivery confirmation says the package was signed by National Visa center.

My case was going super fast but i see a bump.stall.

friends... one more thing....

the message in AVR is... the NVC is awaiting biographic forms from Petitioner.

after doing some search i found out that this message means that NVC is asking to submit ds-230 with required civil documents.

BUT.. does this mean that my I 864 was accepted by NVC.. because as far as i understand the I 864 process comes BEFORE ds-230 NO?????

If not then why they asking me to submit ds-230 ? because according to their system i 864 is not there? is it possible???? can NVC ask for ds-230 BEFORE AOS I 864?????

sorry too many questions....its just that i am dumb :help:
