Hello all,

I was reading that ACCO is preferred in sending the I-751, and I've read about people using multiple fasteners in order to submit the paperwork. I was wondering if anyone had photos of how exactly they did this? What exactly do you put together. Do you put all the evidence together, or is each individual piece of evidence ACCO'ed together? And what about photographs? I guess I'm just looking for an elaboration on what exactly needs to be done here. Thanks for your help. :)

We have used ACCO's at each stage so far and not just one for all... We attached pictures to paper or printed them to paper... putting an outline of the contents on the top of the ACCO group helps as well... You can also use a Large clip to hold everything together with the inner sections ACCO'd

They also have it contradicted in another area saying use ACCO's

I used the ACCO fasteners. For the pictures, I made an 8x10 collage print on the Walgreens website. I was able to put 8-10 pictures on each collage. I had 4 pages of pictures and I put captions at the bottom. I used the ACCO fasteners at the tops of each page, that way they could read what each caption said for the pictures. Sorry I didn't take any pictures of what my package looked like before I sent it but I hope this helps.

Here's my K-1 Timeline:

October 2006 - I-129F sent

Different forms have different instructions. If you read the instructions carefully, you will see that they ask that petitions and applications to the National Benefits Center (NBC) be submitted without using ACCO.

The I-751 Petition is not submitted to the National Benefits Center.

I used an ACCO fastener as suggested by USCIS. Go to the I-751 form in the forms section of USCIS, which is located here:

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=f858d59cb7a5d010VgnVCM10000048f3d6a1RCRD&vgnextchannel=db029c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD

Then look at the right hand side, general tips on assembling applications for mailing:

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=ff053d146a7ee010VgnVCM1000000ecd190aRCRD&vgnextchannel=fe529c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD

Use ACCO fasteners to hold together thick or bulky applications or petitions. Two-hole punching the top of the material for easy placement in the file is appreciated.

I did not use any dividers, indexes or heavy folders. I just went to Staples and I bought a hole puncher, ACCO fasteners and a photo friendly glue. I got a CD with our photos and I got them developed in Wal-mart. I put the cover letter on the top with a personal check for the fee of $545 then I-751 followed by all the evidence We have and 5-6 pages with glued photos /2 on each page/ at the end. I used a printer to put my A# number on the top left corner on every piece of the evidence /bills, statements, etc./ and sheets with photos. All that pile of papers was hole punched together except the check on top which was attached with a rubber band. I was approved in 2 months and 20 days in Vermonth.

I find it quite confusing that some prefer it, and others don't want it at all.

So did any of you use the tabs/labels at the bottom of the submission to indicate what was what, then? I think that is where my main confusion lies - whether they should all be separated, all together, together with labels indicating different things.

Oh, and have any of you submitted an oversized document as evidence? We have a lease agreement from our previous residence. I know they don't like oversized documents, so I was wondering how you all handeled those.

Sorry, I'm needy.

I have used numbered tabs on the side for everything I have submitted all along... I had an outline on top indicating what each tab was... It made it easy for me to organize everything as I assembled it.. and I assume it made it clear for them..

I used bottom tabs to divide my petition into sections, which I referenced in the table of contents.

For oversized evidence (like my apartment lease) I color photocopied and shrunk it down to fit in an 8.5" x 11" paper.

Where did you do that?
