My husband had his interview and we didn't get the Visa. Our co-sponsor didn't make enough in 2009. My husband passed the interview and was told to send in a new AOS along with his passport. The problem is we don't have another co-sponsor. I am so upset and I prayed so hard about this. These are the questions they asked him.

1. How did you meet?

2. What do you have in common?

3. How many times has she been married?

4. How many children does she have?

5. Are the children living with her?

She looked at some emails and our wedding pics.

I want to thank everyone on VJ that has been such a help to us.

VISA APPROVED!!! :)

sorry for the late reply - i flew into pakistan to be here for the interview, and we got back to karachi from islamabad pretty late last night. interview went really well, only lasted about 3-5 mins (after waiting 4 hours). only questions were:

- How did you guys meet?

- What does your husband do in the US?

- Where do you plan to live?

- Do you have any other family in the US?

- Do you plan to work in the US?

After that my wife called me back to the booth and the interviewer asked when we planned to return to Seattle. i said as soon as we have the visa - to which he replied you'll have it in 7-10 days! :)

Paperwork seemed to be the biggest thing in Islamabad. prior to the actual interview, the did some sort of 'pre' registration at different windows during which they basically checked all the paperwork. marriage certificate, affadavit of support, medical, etc... We heard quite a few folks getting rejected for some form of incomplete paperwork, including photograph size, and whether or not the photo had been touched-up.

Thanks to everyone here for all their help. the whole process went really smooth for us, and there's no way it would have without VJ and everyone here. best of luck to everyone else, and congrats to those who also have happy news! :)

:o Tomorrow is our interview in Cairo and I will be by my husbands side. I really hope things go well and a special thanks (F) to Sarah, Sandra, Wendy and Jalan for helping me out with any questions I had throughout this process.

We are hoping for the best. My anxiety hasn't kicked in yet, but my husband is very anxious. Mind over matter, we just gotta be cool, calm and collective B-) Also, just to relax and be ourself. We may be from different cultures, but we were passionately drawn together. I want to start a family and begin our lives together in my home country. We can only hope and pray for the support and blessings of the US Government.

Sincerely,

Leia (L) Mohammed

Goodluck on the interview!! You will do great :star:

Our interview was supposed to be yesterday/today, but was postponed till July 19/20 for "administrative" purposes, Naples consulate also requested my husband's CV.

Sorry to hear about this. Hope you get the CV fast and everything goes good!! Goodluck
