I personally like the plastic explosive method of Bill Murray in Caddyshack. But only in theory as I've never seen it done live. ;)

(Seriously, I have no idea, but your question just put the image of him in my mind, making squirrels and such...)

Electricity is really just organized lightning.

Love that flick!

Actually, if I did not live in this county I would try that. Very pc here, not allowed to smoke in your backyard if it bothers your neighbor much less discharge a weapon of any kind. I was thinking smokebomb or some type of pepper spray.

Tried flooding- didn't work.

DNR won't come to get him and they also told me it's actually illegal for me to trap it without a permit.

I'm not trying to kill the thing, I'm trying to get it to leave.

Funny you should say that, Gupt. :hehe:

My hubby gets his .22 at the ready...pours a bit of gasoline down the gopher hole...throws a match down (carefully and he THROWS it, making sure he isn't OVER the hole....lol) and waits till the "BOOM!" is over and the flames die down and the smoke clears a bit...cuz it's then that the gopher generally pops it's head out. And then the rest, as well as the gopher...is history.

I do NOT recommend this method, just relaying what the hubster does. I know it may sound cruel but hell, you don't want holes everywhere....and the holes can be dangerous too, broken legs and ankles. You don't want all your hard work you put into having a garden (veggies and/or flowers) all to be for naught, either. Sometimes ya just gotta do whatcha gotta do.

Actually here are some natural remedies.. that work well for both moles and GroundHogs..

best of luck

Hollygirl's: Mix a bottle of " Peppermint oil" with " cayenne pepper"( 1 Tbsp). Add about 6 cotton balls to soak mixture up, then put down holes.

"Humeseeds Mole formula": 1/4 cup castor oil, 2 Tbsp of liquid detergent soap. Blend together in a blender. Add 6 Tablespoons water. Blend again. Apply where the moles are active: Mix 2 tablespoons of the solution into 1 gallon of water. Pour it into the problem area. Lots of Castor Bean plants in the garden drive them away too!

Yard Doody" Put used kitty litter or dog doo into the tunnel openings and push the soil in on top of it. Also, break through the ground into known tunnel locations and do the same. Faithfully applying "doody" will eventually convince them to relocate.

Grapefruit-sized clumps of dog and/or cat hair dispersed throughout planted areas.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Where do you live? Are you near Michigan?? I have a20lb. Black cat named Ozzy because he is the devil who can and does kill anything. We haven't hadn't a mole, chipmunk, opossum or anything else in our yard for a year now. They do not survive.

And just so everyone knows, YES we've neutered him, declawed him in the front AND he has a big ol bell on him AND i feed him tons of yummies but he still kills. He is a murderer. We even got him a Sharon to call him down. Nope, nothing doing.

So, if you would like to borrow the Prince of Darkness please let me know. But if you're petting him and he starts to purr RUN away, that's when he strikes. :luv:

And so he did what countless punk-rock songs had told him to do so many times before: he lived his life
