Many consulates no longer process the K3 , the petition is killed and they only work on the CR1, which is a better visa. When did you file ?

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Actually one of my friends had a K3 at the consulate and had started gather all the stuff when he got an email that they were killing the K3 and that he should resume processing the CR1 last month. I swear Lagos does everything possible to mess with peoples heads.

Can anyone tell me how long it does take for a k3 petition to be finalized in Nigeria, I got married to my wife in November 2008 and filled the CIS I-130 shortly after that, since then have been waiting.

Surely you've been doing or hearing something since then besides waiting. Please complete your timeline, so we can better help you. You got at least a receipt notice from USCIS, right? Did you get an approval notice or request for evidence? Did you file one petition or two? What is the current status?

Timelines vary widely but since the petition was filed through an attorney, it is the attorney that would have received any updates. That's where you'll get the details of where the case is now.

Have yer wife call NVC, inquire for status on the K-3 visa. them let us know what you find out?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Unless you have a name that popped something on the one of the lists you should have heard something by now. Does the USCIS site show any status for the petition ?

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
