RFE

Hi Everyone!

We just got our RFE, that was quick, we got our notification on April 1rst-and it was already in the mail today!

They want further evidence of Bonafide-intially we had just included 2 affidavits and 1 joint account bank statement-we just kept it simple...now they want pictures and correspondance between petitioner and beneficiary...

We have everything sorted out...but I was just wondering how you guys included your chat logs and emails...did you print up all the emails and chat logs from before the marriage...and after...did you include some bits and pieces...

Basically, I am wondering how to include chat logs and emails into further evidence....

Any suggestions would help!

We didn't do the CR-1 visa, but we still had to include emails, chats, etc. We sent a few from the beginning of our relationship, and then just included a few here and there in between. You don't need to send every email you have. We just printed them off the computer.

yeah include emails , chatlogs and more pictures when u were not married and your married

i only sent them our pictures b4 during and after marriage. i also sent them 2 Affidavits sworn one signed by my dad and the other my brother. they didn't send me any RFE's so far.

send them chat logs emails etc. but i guess u can mark out the info that's private.

Just wondering...how did you guys send in the pictures...did you get them printed off from Walmart etc...or used a home colour printer-and printed pictures on the normal printer paper?

Also did you guys include such information as "this picture was taken on such an such date"??

Hell they asked for lotsa stuff...so I gotta make up that package now from my end...

yea i actually got them printed from snapfish.com, but in ur case i would suggest to get them printed from rite aid or wallmart which ever is easier.

i actually included info on the back of every picture. like if it was my wedding picture and my brother or father was sitting with me then i wrote an explanation; if it was a honeymoon pic then i wrote that and included an estimated date.

We included e-mails spanning our relationship, chat logs, cards, phone bills, notes we'd written each other.

This is an extremely unusual request. What is unusual about your case that would warrant such a request, when many include no evidence but a marriage certificate and maybe a few photos?

I sent fotos of my marriage and outings, if you have the wedding invitation that would be great!.. if you want you can send a copy of the invitation and just get it notarized for "Copy of Original"

That's bizarre. I've never seen a RFE for communication correspondence for CR-1s. I agree with Pushbrk--so many people got away with the marriage certificate and maybe a couple of pictures. Two affidavits and a joint bank account information should be enough for someone from Canada, if your nickname is anything to go by.

Hmm. Anyway, add a good 10-15 pictures. Write who is in the picture, date, where was it taken and preferably who took it.

As for communication evidence, a few emails, some chat logs, a phone bill or two should suffice.

Many people try to put things in the initial submittal set, as that's whats IN the I-130 instructions.

Sometimes it's difficult though, if yer just married or live apart. Here's what I did, ages past, for the I-130 (click the link, have a read? )

Hey guys, we don't have official honeymoon pictures-as we haven't gone on one yet-but we are going this September (we have all the hotel confirmation etc) should we include that??? just wondering...

It may well have to do with the fact you chose to send affidavits an bank statements instead of the more traditional photos and evidence of time spent together. Affidavits are a last resort, IMO generally useless for newlyweds and CAN (in this case perhaps DID) cause problems.
