I really dig most of the Joan of Arc flicks...the older ones are best...especially the silent black and white ones...

Seriously - the Overthrow of Morocco.

Lots of Religion in it, even a secret Muslim Wedding ceremony.

I liked it, a lot !! Ya, it's my favorite religious movie, so far.

They all banded together in the name of Allah, to drive the French out of Morocco.

It's in black and white - replays sometimes on IFC and Sundance channels.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

What about Fiddler on The Roof. It's not a religious movie per se, but there's lots of Tradition, and Matchmakers, and "To Life, Lchayim" and Sunrise/Sunset to go around. I always cry when poor Chavaleh runs after Papa, and he just walks past with his milk cart and ignores her.

Even in Hollywood, they'd never put out a movie like that, not unless they could cast Liz Hurley in a (kind of) repeat role. Mind you, the idea of salvation in washing dishes might catch on. You never know ;)
