I know that there is no "Time Frame" for administrative processing But i think alot of people here have been threw this and know more then me, and was wondering what have you noticed has been the least amount someone has waited and the Longest. I just wanna try and get an Idea. And why was my case put under administrative processing? did i do something wrong?

Thanks everyone!

Shortest I know was 1 day.

Plenty between 1-2-3 months.

Some around 6-8 months.

A couple for more than a year.

Hang in there dear.

I don't think you did anything wrong--it's just the nature of the beast.

Unfortunately, I've seen that happen a few times on this board.

Good luck to you, dear. I hope it is short for your sake.

Check out the Islamabad AP tracker. Might give you some idea.

I know there are quite a few people in AP/AR in the Cairo embassy but I don't know about the Palestine embassy. Maybe someone can give you answers from there.

I'm so sorry MQ!! I hope it is a speedy process for you and your husband. Maybe they just said AP until they can get your letter together with your packet??? Why don't you try calling the DOS and see if they can tell you more about it!!! Or at least give you some more information about it...

I am sooo sorry that you are having to endure AP. Hopefully it will not be a long time. I hope that it is short and it only has to do with the signed document that they had you send.

Best of luck to you!

Yes, AP seems to vary depending on the consulate and country. We have been officially in AP since February 10, 2010. I just hope this ends soon for all of us. I on the other hand just can not wait around so I am just actively writing and getting any help I can. I am going to continue this until my fiance and I are together.

Hi MQ,

Sorry about the AP. My husband has been in for 46 days now  . There is an AP tracker thread going in this forum: http://spreadsheets....V...s4pIA&hl=en

The list contains only two members from Palestine and they were from last year. Also, there's no telling what type of AP anyone is in. I hope to hear some good news from anyone/everyone soon.

All the best.

NVC:

Hey, sorry about that. I didn't post the right link.

http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pGVYlFN7qlh6WLbhGks4pIA&hl=en

It looks like one was there from 1/11/2009 - 9/1/2009.

The other one just lists 5/14/2009 and may have received results but just not updated the tracker.

Meredith_Brahim did an analysis of the data in AP:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/145739-ap-tracker/page__st__1188

Consider adding yourself to the AP Tracker and reading through the thread. There's good information there including this link to a description of Security Name Checks: http://www.usaimmigrationattorney.com/SecurityNameChecksAndAdministrativeReview.html

There are also some really nice/helpful peoople there too

AP has been a difficult process. We have been in AP for 5 months now in Islamabad. We are hoping that it will end soon, Insha'Allah. I had to return to the States and have a C-section to deliver our baby all alone. I was hoping my husband would have been able to be with me. Our original interview was scheduled for Oct 26th, but the Embassy was closed that day and didn't give any kind of warning. So we drove all the way to ISL which is about 5 hours while I was about 5 months pregnant, and they were closed, so they rescheduled us for a week later. Now, it is almost April and we are still waiting for his visa. They did request some Domicile information from me recently, just to prove that I was in the USA. Now, we are just waiting for them to finish processing. They said like 2 weeks ago that his AP was finished and that Final review was finished.. and when he called last week, they told him it was BACK on AP. So.. now we don't know what they are doing. Please pray for us that it gets over with soon so that my husband can see his daughter for the first time and be able to hold her. Take care everyone, and I wish you all a very short AP wait.

Allah Hafiz
