Thankyou!

I am still in shock...has anyone else from March been approved yet?

Congrats on your approval!

Can you tell me - did you receive any touches on any of your applications (AP,EAD,AOS) between the time you had the biometrics appointment and the time you saw that your GC was approved?

Our app. was received by USCIS on Mar-25, transferred to CSC on Apr-16, biometrics taken on Apr-19, and then touches to AP/AOS on Apr-19 with another touch to AOS on Apr-20. Nothing since then...

Thanks!

Has anyone ever tried tracking touches?? Seems like an RFE after one or approval would slowly explain what most are.

Last week we had 5 touches, 19th Biometrics,20th FbI checks readability,21st case arrived at CSC, but 22nd and 23rd??? Of course nothing this week!

My AP last had a touch on 3/19, three days after our NOA. My EAD last had a touch 3/29, which was the day I did my Biometrics. That makes sense, because they were probably adding my fingerprints and such to the file. My AOS had lots of touches, but the last few that I remember were 4/1 (CSC transfer), 4/10, 4/22 and 4/23. I was approved on 4/26 and document production was ordered on the same day. I got a touch also 4/27, which was probably them putting my case back in the files or something similar.

I really don't know, there seems to be no rhyme or reason to when you get touches and why, unless you know it's down to you doing your biometrics, or the approval or whatnot. I wish in the tracking system, they put the reason for the touch too. Though if the touch just always said "Sitting on a drone's desk", that would be a bit depressing.

Jimnlena - for some of the touches I knew what they were for, like a touch when my biometrics letter was sent and such. But, tracking them would be a cool idea!

Successful BIOMETRICS walk-in post mortem:

The "Application Support Center" at 246 North Ave., New Rochelle had a staff of about 4

and was a street-level very small operation. My wife went there at around 2 PM on a

Wednesday, which I felt was sufficiently far from Monday (when there might be a flood

of customers as they are closed on the weekend) and also past the morning and noon

rushes because some folks want to be first in line or have the convenience of a lunch-break visit.

There were very few ahead of her and she was taken without any objections.

She liked the staff (the guy who processed her was excited about his upcoming first visit to Thailand!)

and gave them an excellent ratingsmile.gif

I don't know anything about the chance of a successful walk-in in Manhattan, but try to avoid

the more crowded days & times. Another poster said she had good luck going Friday afternoon.

I had all the same touches that you did so I keep logging in several times a day now lol, but nothing changed on mine still last touch on the 21st & 22nd.

I'm pretty sure you're the first March approval, and quite a bit ahead of schedule according to previous timelines from Dec., Jan., and Feb. (nothing scientific, just my own observations) Congratz!!!!

On my Aos my last touch was on March 19. I called to check on my case status and got a message saying that its in their service center in Lee Summit , Missouri. So I guess we just have to wait and see and take it on day at the time. At least I got my EAD approved, so I can work now, get a drivers license and life is a little more relaxed.

Good luck to all
