Man, I hope the November filers don't find out about these rapid NOA2's... Ever read their thread? They're tearing their hair out because some early December filers have gotten approved. If they see that a January filer received their NOA2 they'll lose their minds...

Congratulations to all those who've gotten approved so quickly and - wish the November filers the best of luck!

Yeah, I been following that one too. So far, most of the early approvals have been military expedites. I think this is a non expedited one (but possibly is ??), which is really going to make December/November (and so on)... people loose their minds. :wow:

To start off, congratulations to those who have got their NO2s. But also, I'm sorry but anyone who filed before January absolutely hates you guys since we are still waiting and looking towards the 5 months being realistic :-) Once again, sorry for being mean but it's not fair :bonk:

It's not a military expedited one for us. When I checked the timeline the estimation for the approval was between April 17th and April 27th. Good luck to everyone. :star:

Thats great !!!!

Congrats !!! This is like winning the lottery (lottery of love)..

Enjoy this special moment of your life.

Best to u!

The people I talked to at NVC were nice. If I remember correctly you have to press 5 to talk to a person because they don't like K-1's in the automated system.

Congrats and good luck!

Aww, we're not all angry and crazy. It's just, when us November VSC folks filed, people were flying through the doors in 1-2 months. New to the process and naive little VJ newbies that we were, we thought we'd see the same kind of fast turn-around, but it was not to be. Still, I'm happy when someone gets approved and gets to be with their loved one! A little less less anguish in the world should always be something to celebrate! Even so, and naturally, I do have pangs of "I wish it were me..." Soon though, soon...

And again, congrats to the OP on your quick approval! Hope you fly through everything else with ease!

We just got the email today, still haven't gotten the letter. This is good news but it threw us for a loop. We got approved in less than 2 months. Is that normal?

Now what do we need to do? I basically know what we need to do, but is there anything not explained in the instructions that they're going to send me that I should know?

When should I call the NVC?

Thanks! I'm so happy!

Congrats Barry and Ami.:dance: I wish my case get approve soon. I think you guys need to prepared for you consular interview. Good luck. !!

Usually people go to the embassy website where their benificiary is getting interviewed at - and they should have the instructions for the rest of the process posted on their site.

(the embassy should contact also - usually via email)

(Why would you need to call NVC?)

You should call the NVC to be sure your case has actually been sent on the the foreign consulate. You will get a letter from the NVC saying it has been sent on but that may not necessarily be true. Some people get selected for "additinal processing". We were stuck at the NVC 50 days. So after you get the letter from the NVC, call them to confirm your case has been actually been sent on.

hahaha so funny.

It's so easy for someone to open his mouth and spread BS when they don't know what the story is.

For your information, since mid December 2009, VSC stopped working on late October and ALL of November application, and just moved on December/January applications.

We all called our congressmen, and made them file claims, and finally, since February 19 (which means, 2 month on unfairness), VSC is back on working on the applications fairly and in order.

U're a January filer. How about, CSC working fairly till January 7 applications. Then they stop, and just completely skip the rest of January, and start working on February applications. I would like to see you "keep calm", and "not tearing ur hair".

To the OP, gratz on ur early approval. Being a no military expedites case, u just must be one of those rare lucky ones  . hurry and go buy a lottery ticket
