Yes, Mike, no April interview for me. Real bummed out. :(

What are you doingggg? Send out those packages nowwww. They'll get there Monday morning and you'll still be in with a fighting chance.

Good luck! :)

Melody--I'd suggest mailing out the AOS as soon as you can. Never know with the RFEs NVC is churning out like confetti.

I was going to FEDEX it to them tomorrow... maybe... I am confused now.. I have used my dad as a co sponsor, but he files jointly with my mom, my mom doesnt work and has never worked outside of the house... SO I didnt think that I needed her to file an I-864... but now I am second guessing it. What should I do? also... what type of proof of relationship do I need to show between me and my co-sponsor? SInce it is my parents, I am already sending in a copy of my dads birth certificate. Do I need to type a letter and state that my dad is the co-sponsor? If my mom has to fill out an I-864, do I have to send in an marriage certificate? what else would show that they live in the same house? maybe a bank statement with both names on it? Kinda freaking out about this AOS package, thought I was almost done :( Also, I called and got my bank to make a letter stating when I opened my account and how much has been deposited over the year... but it will not get to me until friday of next week... should I wait on this letter from my bank?

Melody -> here is a hint... tell your husband to mail the DS230 complete to you.

Also tell him to add some blank papers with his signature. This case if it's something wrong you can re-do the form and print on the top of his signature.

Tell him to sign in the same space where the signature goes on the DS230, you know?

This way you could print out a new form if you need to correct anything.

I don't know if I was clear... lol

let me know if you didn't understand =)

it is clear, he has mailed me several copies, some he filled out some he left blank and just signed.... My poor hubby... he is totally stressed out.. filling out the DS-230 just about broke him... he said that he doesnt know how I am dealing with all this immigration stuff.. :D

Be sure to milk this fact for future favors... You can bring up the fact of "who did all the paperwork" when you need something, it works like a charm!!

Ok. now i m officially confused. Do I have show my relationship with the co-sponsor? I would like to know where does this state in NVC website or paper work? I thought Co-sponsor could be anyone with an acceptable income and citizenship/permanent residence.

If you are using a family member living in the same house (aka, an 864a) then you need to show relationship, if you are using just a regular co-sponsor 864, then no... it can be anyone

Thanks for clearing it for me. I am using my brother as my co-sponsor who is living in different house. So this is not applying to me i guess.

People--I need help. So far, this is the list of possible RFEs, I've come up with. I'm trying to cover all possible bases this weekend so we can send it out as soon as the RFE email comes in on Monday.

1) My husband filled his initial I-864 according to his 2008 taxes. He's been working at a new job from last September so his employment letter states a different income amount. Which is the amount that he should use for his current annual income on the I-864?

2) My joint sponsor sent a photo of his USC passport as proof of citizenship. Shouldn't this be enough or would they ALSO want a copy of his certificate of naturalization?

3) My joint sponsor files taxes jointly as he is married but is way, way above the guidelines on his own for his household size so he used the individual amount on his W2. He also stated this on his cover letter saying that the income used is his own solely as evidenced by his W2 so he didn't attach a I864-A from his spouse. Maybe they didn't understand this and RFEd because they saw different incomes on the tax return and the I864?

4) We didn't use W2s for 2009.

Any ideas/tips/suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

 photo copy right? and i would send 2009 w2
