reaffirmed petition 2nd interview done

My husband went to the consulate today for "interview", this case was reaffirmed in Oct. 2009. They took all finger prints, spent 2 minutes, told him it was going to AP and gave him back his passport...WHAT THE HELL!

I called and was actually able to speak with the CO. She said they had about 8 lbs of files to review and needed nothing from us. What can we expect now?

after being denied in 2008 the k1, then filing the cr1 in 2009, my husband had his interview on january 4. they put him on AP, but kept his passport. we had submitted over 11 pounds worth of evidence with the cr1. he had his visa in 30 days. they also requested nothing else from us.

i know another person on here who had a reaffirmed petition, in india, where they did not keep her fiance's passport. he had his visa in 7 weeks.

both of these cases were in new delhi, who seems to be the slowest embassy out of all of them in india. so perhaps yours could be shorter. of course, as we all know AP has no set time limit.

I am wondering if it is because of our age, we are both over 40 (I will be 49). I feel like they are torturing us. We are both concerned because they gave back his visa. should I threaten sueing them for discrimination? I havent seen my husband for nearly 15 months and cant afford a trip now because I have done everything I can think of to bring us into the same country ( I am at present working on a work permit in Canada because I thought I could bring him tied to my work permit. His ties to india are not strong enough. what a joke, US says he is tied to india and Canada says he is not).

There are hard times to all of u, but with lots of patience u will make it! Love always win, this is a big obstacle in your lives, but if your love is strong enough u finally will be reunited to your loved ones!!

Keep positive, faithfull, pray so deep in your hearts, take a deeep breath everytime u feel down, and when u get your loves with u u will remember this as a big nightmare.

I shared your frustration. I am too is going through the process. I received a reaffirmed letter for my wife vise, and is now anxiously waiting for the 2nd interview date. Can you tell more details on your husband 2nd interview. Are they asking the same questions on as it were in the first interview. What type of questions are they asking? And it's the same interview officer from teh 1st interview?

embassy in Delhi is a pain in the butt.........dont worry i think its really hard for them to deny it or send it back since its been reaffirmed once all ready .........you will prolly hear from them the end of next week......

did the reaffirmation letter from USCIS have a new WAC number? and what is our next step? do you contact DOS,NVC or embassy?

my CR1 was reaffirmed on 2/10/10.

Yes most of the time they asign new case number iam waiting like you and my case was reaffirmed 02-02-2010 i did call the dos but the dos said that they havent got anything yet from the uscis but once they get it they asign new number and send it to the embassy and then either they give set an interview or they tell you to send your passport to the embassy for a visa its up to the CO really

did you get the reaffirmation letter from USCIS? if so did it contain a new WAC number.

I have not received the letter myself, I am afraid if I call DOS I might not have the new WAC number.

also I wonder if DOS sends the case direct to the embassy or is it DOS that let us know of the new interview date.
