No CNN covered it too. But they dropped it when it's newsworthy factor became apparent. They (CNN) just haven't given it the kind of fair and balanced 15 months of coverage of the never biased Faux News Network.

This drama is all about trying to find anything to accuse Obama of, no matter how far fetched. None of us are responsible for the actions of members of our extended family. Unless we are 100% Native American all of us have family from someplace that is not the good old USA. In this particular case there is nothing which suggests Obama aided, was aware of, or covered up regarding his aunts legal immigration status.

I believe this aunt's immigration status was known well before the election and during the campaign. Other than innuendo, there is nothing to this story beyond his aunt as an individual being here illegally.

Read the first link I posted, when the story began she was fabulously wealthy contributor to the Obama campaign. The Right needs to get its stories straight! Other than blood does he have any relationship whatsoever with this aunt?

The problem is you are asking people to suspend all logic.

It is nearly impossible that he was not aware his Aunt was in the states and nearly as far fetched that she would be here and not reach out to Obama for help or advice on how to stay, he is after all in the legal field as well as involved in all this community organizing stuff which is suppose to be "helping the less fortunate".

BUt so what if he did know..... and even knew she over stayed her visa.... does anyone expect that he should have "turned her in"?

The only valid attack on Obama is that he, (just like John Edwards) rails on and on about how -we are our brothers keeper- and from what we can see of these people in their own lives, is that they barely give a ####### about their own families.

Both he and his wife were making Good money by anyones standard, yet does he remember the very people he went to connect with in Africa>?

How many of us have donated at one time or another to some charity to help or feed complete strangers "in need" in Africa and this guy has family there and from what we are led to believe he never even tried to bring them here or help them there.

How many times must you be reminded....."Pay more attention to what people DO... rather than what they say!"

"Federal Election Commission records show that Onyango donated at least five times to her nephew’s campaign in July and September. Three of the donations were for $5 each, and two of the donations were for $25. Records compiled by The Huffington Post show she gave a total of $260 to the campaign."

If $260 is fabulously wealthy to you, then you need all the financial help you can get. BTW, The Hufffington Post isn't a rightwing website. Far from it.

I have seen nothing that indicates this woman is more than a blood relation. Nothing showing he has contact with her. Nothing.

You and Danno can conclude Obama should be covering her tab since they are related all you want. We will all expect you to do the same, and be held responsible, for any trouble or debts your blood relations, even those you don't know exist too since that is your standard.

I's not like his aunt just dropped out of the sky and he never had any recent contact or knowledge of her.

No...Obama is not legally responsible for his aunt's food, shelter, clothing, and legal expenses...the US taxpayer is. And that is the point! He's a wealthy politician that has chosen to let the taxpayer support his blood kinfolk.

I'm not losing any sleep over it, but it doesn't do much for the image he tries to portray to the public.

I have to agree with this. I don't think this has ever been an issue before with any other president's aunt living here illegally? but given the number of illegal immigrants in this country today and the problems associated with this issue you'd think someone or himself would've wanted to make sure that none of his close family members were living here illegally before running for presidency? I guess it's not such a big issue after all?
