I'm still trying to set up my mafia right. I can't seem to get it so I don't have a hired gun during wars. What the heck? I tried reading the instructions but that doesn't seem to work. How come it lets you continue to add mafia if you can only have a total of 501?

during wars, only you and your top mafia are shown, although anyone else can join in and attack them. i'd suggest having a real player instead of a hired gun for top mafia as i think they'd fare better being attacked.

the 501 limit is for how many go into a fight with you when attacking another mafia off the fight page (note that when robbing is enabled again, it's your level or 501 mafia, whichever is lower, that you take on the robbery). you can add beyond that as it's helpful when you put out a call for help during a war, buying mafia mikes, or for a job assist.

I think there are like six spots and I can only promote people to 5 of them. The last one is unavailable. Claudeth has two positions like that so I am wondering if this is a level thingy. I think she is about level 87 and I am 132 or so. Anyway, that unassigned position becomes a hired gun in a war so doesn't help much.
