This is the letter that my husband received after his interview. No 221g form or anything. So my question is, is this standard of the AP letter? Such as name/background checks? Or is this more or less on the embassy level? I have already called DOS, and they state that there is nothing needed from us. We are not necessarily questioning the wait time. That is what we have been doing since April 2008. So we imagine that this could possibly be the shortest wait

Looks like an AP case.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

hey - smells like the standard of the AP letter.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

its pretty much standard AP....they are only letting him know that if he needs his passport for anything before AP is done that he can request it and then when AP is finished they will request him to send it back.......someone else from india had to get new passport because his was damaged he gave it and when he asked if he should stay in delhi waiting for the passport with visa they told him no because he was going thru normal AP if my memory is correct they issued his passport with visa in just a few days after that.......

dont worry k all is good and ur hubby will be with u this month sometime im sure of it ((((hugs))))

 maybe they will just need to do background checks up until november 12, 2008 (his original k1 interview) instead of his full 31.5 years of existence :P
