Thanks! You guys aren't far behind us, so hopefully you'll be getting good new soon... :)

I hope so! Just wondering, did you get any touches before you got accepted? I check at least once or twice a day with the USCIS (it's an addiction) only to see no touches since the 3rd of February. I notice some people get a touch the day of or day before their acceptance, so just curious if you got one or not. Congrats again, you and your fiancee must be so happy!

Before Journey:

Met online in 2002 as friends. Fell in love in 2005. Got engaged in 2010.

K-1 Journey, January 2010-July 2010:

NOA1: January 29. RFE: April 21. NOA2: June 4. Interview: July 15. Visa in hand: July 20. POE: July 22.

July 24, 2010: Married in front of 150 of our loved ones on a beautiful, sunny day. Living happily ever after and oh so thankful that 5 years of a long distance relationship and 7 months of a visa process is condensed into one line.

Wedding pictures! Because I'm shameless. http://s956.photobucket.com/albums/ae47/AmeriDaneWedding/

Adjustment of Status Journey, January 2011-March 2011:

January 25: NOA1 for AOS and EAD. Feb 5: Bio appointment received. Feb 7: RFE. Feb 11: Sent RFE response. Feb 23: AOS transfered to CSC. Feb 25: Biometrics. March 11: EAD approved! March 19: Received EAD. March 21: AOS approved! March 25: GC in hand!

And we'll live happily ever after.. for the next 2 years, anyway.

I know how you feel, i've been exactly the same in checking every day! I checked the system monday and there was still nothing, then wednesday it just suddenly got accepted. So kind of out of the blue, but that's fine with us! We're SO happy, onto the I-134 and (hopefully within a couple of weeks) packet 3 :)

Congratulations to all you Jan filers who've received your NOA2's (and in some cases your interview dates already)!!!

Send sone of your good fortune my way. I'm a Jan 4th CSC filer, not even a touch - I wanna be touched - (I've seen Feb filers getting their NOA2's already). It's nice being 1st on Igor's list for CSC pending applications for Jan, but it'd be even better at the bottom of Igor's list for approved petitions...

Hang in there Alan. You're getting the NOA2 any day now!! At least you don't have RFEs....just a waiting game. You must have ended up on that proverbial lazy government employee's desk.. I ended up in Additional Processing at NVC for a few weeks, but today they set our petition free and sent it off to Manila. I know I got very lucky on the AP....most folks stay in there for a month.... but I still won't believe NVC until Manila actually has our petition. One day NVC would tell me no problems, no flags, next day they would say...oh you're in AP...then I call another day...oh you're out of AP but today the story finally changed to say that "as of today, we had shipped to Manila." The operator, Alice, even joked with me and said, you can stop calling me everyday now...and start bugging USE Manila and gave me their number (the 800 PIN number). I'm still very happy because even with 2 weeks delay in AP. I mean really.. we just hit 60 days since filing with USCIS back in Jan 26....that's still pretty good time. Of course we still have a lot of Journey to go....

Hey Johnny,

Glad to hear that your AP visit was a short one and things are progressing quickly for you. It's pretty sad that you actually got to know the NVC employee Alice on a first name basis, but at least she had a sense of humor.

I'm sure the ever evasive NOA2 is somewhere in the works - just frustrating that folks who filed at the end of February are getting their approvals and I haven't. Still though, at least there's a light at the end of my tunnel (hopefully soon).

Hey Alan !

I am beginning to think there is no ryhme nor reason to any of this .... just a quota to be filled ... xx number goes out or approved this week and then xx number next week and so on.

My NOA2 says approved March 4 2010 and " we have sent your petition to NVC " NVC ain't got it, confirmed by numerous phone calls and sending an email and copy of notice to nvcresearch. ( heard from them this morning ... no record of arrival ) Call to CIS and after reading the entire 4 or 5 paragraphs to a young lady she wants to emphasize paragraph 3 that says after 4 weeks call NVC  I tell her all I want to know is when it was sent ( as stated in the first para. )..... her computer doesn't tell her that info !

Broke an old army axiom yesterday ... remember the one about " keeping a low profile " ?

Called my congressman's office .. talked to a gal who has definitely worked with CIS before ! She told me that I was lucky on the 34 day approval .. I told her I definitely knew that and I did not want to complain about anything .... but if CIS is going to be verbatim on these notices ... it said " We have sent " NOT " We will send ". I can just picture a stack of papers ( mine ) wedged between 2 file cabinets somewhere !

She will get back to me on Monday.

There is ABSOLUTELY no rhyme or reason to USCIS processing policies and procedures. I'm not upset at later filers who've received their NOA2 before mine, just wish that there was some sort of system in place wherein USCIS processed 'em as they get 'em.

Forget about keeping a low profile, scream your #### off at the inefficiency of the USCIS for them not getting your petition to the NVC in a timely manner. I'd already be on the phone to the USCIS about my petition but I know all to well I'd just get the "you're withing normal processing guidelines" B.S.

Best of luck to for a speedy transition through NVC and a rapid interview date!

Alan

You may already know this, but when you called to confirm with NVC, did you speak to a person or did you enter your data into the Automated Voice Response system? I ask because I was calling and calling and putting my CIS Case # into the AVR and there was NOTHING. The voice said they had not received anything yet. Then someone here told me that K-1 Visa information is not entered into their AVR, you have to speak to someone personally. That's when I found out that not only had they received my application three weeks earlier, but they had already sent it to the foreign embassy two weeks earlier. wacko.gif
