Still waiting for my NOA2... Not even a touch. Kind of difficult to see that a MARCH filer received their NOA2 and I'm still in initial review on the USCIS site.

Igor's CSC processing date keeps changing all over the place...

Sigh...

Anyway, best of luck to all you Jan filers.

Alan

How are all the January CSC filers doing? Anyone have news to share? kicking.gif

My petition was filed on January 4th....NOA-1 and NOA-2 followed very rapidly. Our file was sent from the NVC to the Embassy in San Jose, Costa Rica on March 23rd and arrived on March 27th. We already have a new case number and my fiance is waiting to receive "Packet #3"...she will call next Monday to find out more.

Just received an email from NVC research .... they have contacted USCIS and my petition is " enroute " to NVC. Now the question is ... how long " enroute " ???

My "enroute" was very short...about 3 days. It is only going from the CSC to the NVC in New Hampshire. Give them a few days and call for your new case number. I called at 7pm in the evening and waited about 3-5 minutes to speak with someone. They were very nice and told me that my case had already been forwarded to the Embassy in Costa Rica as of the 23rd of March. I am very pleased with the speed and efficiency of the USCIS/NVC. I know others will disagree but my experience has been very good.

People tend to use a wrong terminology. What it should read is: "I-129F USC Petition was approved and forwarded to NVC/consulate for futher processing and an interview for K-1 visa will be scheduled in the future"

Damn Alan! I really hope they don't sit on you for too much longer! It's probably sitting on that desk and the adjudicator is surfing the web and online chatting and whatever.... I know you put together a stellar packet. It's got to be just sitting on the wrong desk..and it doesn't help that CSC is slowing down on K1's..

I hope you get it soon buddy!!

His "enroute" was actually about a month from USCIS to NVC. They lost his petition for a while.

and sorry about the terminology slip....I was a bit excited at the time...

Man, this really sucks...

Did my morning check of the USCIS site and of course, no touches yet again. I'm really happy for my fellow VJ'ers who have received their NOA2's, but this is getting a bit old...

Based on the recent flurry of Jan, Feb and even MARCH filers who have gotten their approvals I would have thought by now that I'd be joining their ranks. When I first filed I was mentally prepared for a 3-4 month wait but then I started seeing CSC really start pumping out NOA2's. I guess I set myself up for this anxiety because I figured my approval would be fourthcoming.

Anyway - just my daily USCIS vent...

Happy Easter to All...

Vent away My Friend ... I'm right there with you !!!! My latest and greatest news .... after the email from NVC on Monday telling me the petition is " enroute " ... just for grins yesterday I check the CIS website .... and my case was "touched" 04/01/2010 !!!!!! WHAT ?!?!?! at CSC ??? " Enroute " I guess can mean anything !

What really frustrates me is the wording of the NOA2 ... " we have sent your petition to the National Visa Center. The USCIS has completed all action and further inquiries should be directed to NVC " That is pure " bovine scatology " !

They may have sent it, they may be doing other checks, they may be sitting on it, it might be in between 2 file cabinets .... who the hell knows ?!?!

I am just hoping that yesterdays touch means someone actually put the petition in the mailbox !

Ahhh ... there's my daily vent !

"Vent away, Alan! I come here daily to see your updates. I'm really pushing for you!"

Thanks Sacaria! I really appreciate the fact that here on VJ we root for one another. It's a great feeling to know I'm not going through this tormoil by myself and many, many others have felt the same sense of emotions I'm feeling.

As much as I'd like to not stress or think about this, for some reason I'm drawn to the USCIS site to check my status several times a day. Each time I log on and see "initial review" I get disgusted and promise myself I'm done looking for the day... 2 hours later I'm back on the site... I gotta get a hobby!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------"Vent away My Friend ... I'm right there with you !!!! WOW Bainbridge - This is just complete and total B.S. It's amazing the left hand of the USCIS doesn't know what the right hand is doing and on top of that - they provide inaccurate information. The problem with the entire immigration system in general is that USCIS claims to provide "cutomer service". If USCIS was a privately run company, by now it would be out of business due to crappy customer service skills. Unfortunately, there is no other "company" that provides the service we need - and they know it...

I really hope they straighten out your situation quickly. I'd be pissed (as I'm sure you are).

Alan

Yeah, we're all rooting for you Alan!

And I really hope after this wait that you fly through NVC in the standard 3 day time. The worst thing for us was to receive that happy, wonderful NOA2....then call NVC and find out we're stuck in additional processing (which has no timeframe). You call they say, "yep we have you and yep you're still in AP...and nope we have no idea how long you'll be in AP." And we can't tell you why you're in AP..I asked once: Can you you give me a ballpark?? Between 1 month and 1 year?? She said sorry, we have no idea how long!!...luckily we were only there in AP for a few weeks, which is good since average AP time is a month.....but still no reason given, just very nice CSR people that can't tell you anything.... Then there's Mark who they flat LOST his petition for a month and yanked him around.....!!

We pay good money for this entertainment! At least entertain us or just give us a little customer service PLEASE!!

Oh hey Alan.... Maybe that CSC adjudicator is lurking on VJ and seeing how far he/she can yank you before you break.......maybe it's the talk around the water cooler at CSC...

Ok rant over.... Happy Easter Folks!!

Hey Johnny...

Thanks for the good wishes Brother! You guys have no idea that your words actually bolster me through the day and it's a nice feeling to know that others have experienced the same things as me and can relate to my frustration. I am VERY glad that your AP was short lived.

I don't have any idea if my CSC adjudicator is reading this but if so... Hurry the F*** up! Hell, if he approves me soon I'll buy him his own personal water-cooler...

I think for me the sad part is that I hate my destiny being in someone else's hands. I was a helicopter pilot in the Army and I'm not a good passenger in any aspect. So-feeling completely like I have no control in regards to my I-129F (becaus I don't) is not a great feeling. Hell - I'm not even a good passenger in a car when someone else is behind the wheel.

I know rationally that the NOA2 HAS to come soon, but love is an irrational emotion. I see each additional day of "initial review" as being one more day lost with the woman that I love, and that's a crappy feeling. Vanessa and I speak on the phone every day and I hate telling her that I haven't heard anything that day. I can't wait until I can tell her that at least THIS aspect of the process is done and all that's left is NVC, Medical, Embassy, Consulate, Interview, Visa, Lugging all her stuff here, POE, EAD, AP, AOS... Holy cow!!!!

Thanks again for allowing me my daily rant... You guys are awesome in your encournagement and I appreciate you taking the time to tell me that it'll all work out.

Alan

P.S. Mr. Adjudicator - if you are reading this... I realize that your government issued desk has one leg shorter than the others, but if you could take my petition out from underneath the short leg and actually start working on it - that would be great... I'll throw in a new desk...

LOL - Please don't take this inappropriately, but you're cute :) I tell Ry this whenever he makes me smile with his nutty sense of humour. And this is exactly the sort of thing he'd say.

I can only send you ((hugs)) and do a NOA2 dance for you. And tell you how your tough army persona is going to be brought to tears, or near as, when you see that change or heck, open your mailbox one day and find a letter sitting there coz they haven't updated your case online.

And out of respect, coz you're an awesome, supportive asset to VJ, I'm turning my sig off for this post!
