I129F approved today! 2/2/2010 NOA1 then 3/5/2010 NOA2. That's 31 days. Can that be true? After checking out everyone's signature/ timeline, that seems like the shortest time from NOA1 to NOA2.

Anybody have a quicker response? I so excited I am going outside to do cartwheels!!

Hiya - I'm a Feb CSC filer and noticed that your NOA1 date is in February, which technically makes you a Feb filer. Several people, like Bainbridge *waves* are on both, when they submitted in January but got their NOA1s in early Feb.

We're keeping a running list of Feb filer approvals, and I didn't recognise your name. I realise now it's because you haven't completed your timeline, so weren't showing up on the 'Igor's List' for tracking.

Would you be able to complete your time line, come over and say hi on the Feb filers thread and allow me to account for your visa journey in our thread too, so that we can easily see how everyone's progressing?

And congrats on your quick NOA2! :)

Timeline Summary:

K-1/K-2 NOA1 - POE: 9 February - 9 July 2010

Married: 17 July 2010

AOS mailed - Interview : 22 November 2010 - 10 March 2011

ROC mailed - approved: 14 February - 18 June 2013

Citizenship mailed - ceremony: 9 February - 7 June 2017

Are you watching that thing 100x a day too??

All this waiting, what else can we do but amuse ourselves with caclulators that are based on 5-10% of the total petitions USCIS receives.

I totally understand! Really hard to relax when USCIS is all over the board with approvals without consistency to dates received. Some from Feb getting approvals now, some from Oct/Nov/Dec/Jan still waiting... I know CSC is cranking through K1s fast, but some are much faster than others. My fiancee says this system is unfair but what else can we do? We planned on a 3-5 month wait for NOA2....but would be very happy (and have less gray hair) if we get it sooner.

Ohh I didn't realize you were VSC! When we filed, VSC was 2 weeks ahead of CSC in K1s....now they're almost a month behind CSC. It's almost like they shut down processing the majority of K1s for a while.

Yeah me too, hope VSC picks it up and runs wth it. This waiting drains the life out of you and stresses out the long distance relationship because you really can't plan for anything. You can't buy early air tickets (has to be last minute, more expensive tickets). You can't plan for a wedding too much in advance. And we have no idea if the Visa fee will change before or after we get to the interview phase. I have no idea how some people have done this and waited yrs for the Visa process.

When you go log in to USCIS, add your case to your portfolio (after you created an account) you can see your case, and next to it will be "last updated" - that means touched.

Also, it might not mean anything if the case has been "touched". So don't read too much into it. It can mean any number of things, unfortunately. (i.e. being moved from one desk to another)

You go to the USCIS website http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis (if you haven't been there yet). Register with your NOA1 number and add your case to their "case portfolio." Then you can check your status or add you email and cell phone for electronic updates. The last action date on your case would be the last date someone at USCIS scanned and handled your file. Every time someone handles your file it's run through a scanner and that's called a "touch." For example, when you file first arrives, it's given a number and an NOA1 is sent. Then normally a few days later it gets moved to the "shelf" and waits for an adjudicator. Since someone physically touches your file and moves it, they scan it though and the last action date changes. Then when it finally moves again, it gets touched and the date changes.

I'm not sure if it's good or bad....but mine was touched yesterday and today. Just crossing my fingers for something good..
