Passport question of pages

Hi,

I know it says they want a copy off all of the pages in the passport. The blank pages also? I have only used up like 2 pages of my passport with some room on the second page. Everything else in blank.

They're not actually blank - they are numbered (and they know how many you have). Copy/scan them in color if possible for best results.

I copied the whole tamale...it sucks, but why take the chance. they want to see every page.

Huh! When I went to make copies of my passport, the guy at the desk wouldnt let me make colour copies of it, saying it is illegal to do so, it had to be b&w. BS?

I didnt copy all of mine..do you think they would send my packet back, God Help me..i hope they dont

This is if you are using the passport instead of a birth certificate.

If birth certificate/naturalization papers are used, youonly need relevant Passport Pages.

11. Copy of the Birth certificate (front and back) for the US Citizen or a copy of ALL pages of the US Citizen's passport issued with a validity of at least 5 years or a copy of the US Citizen's naturalization certificate (front and back). This is used to establish citizenship.

It cannot get more simpler than reading and following directions exactly.

i used my naturalization certificate and all the important pages of the passport.. i think i should be ok then..thanks again

It depends on why you included it. If it was for proof of US citizenship, then yes - all pages are required. If it was for proof of having met, then no - only the relevant pages with visas or entry/exit stamps, plus the bio page.

It's BS about not being legal to make color copies of a passport. There is practically no way that a color copy could be used to produce an authentic looking US passport. The paper and inks used are unique, and manufactured only for the US Government Printing Office. The bio page has a plastic cover containing a holograph. All new US passports are "e-Passports", which use a special cloth/plastic cover with an integral metallic foil shield, and a microchip containing the electronic version of the information on the bio page. None of these features can be reproduced with a photocopier.

I think the clerk who said it was illegal was thinking about paper currency, which IS illegal to make color copies of.

AND....front and back outer cover. Give them exactly what they state and want.

I am at the point of filing the civil documents for the appointment at the embassy. It states specifically a copy of the biographical date sheet only. Here is a link to the specific site. Hope this helps. I thought all this information would be collected at the EMBASSY, and not in the US and then to be sent back to Colombia to the embassy....

If going to a copy store, no need to copy the WHOLE passport with expensive color copies. Not necessary. Just copy your FACE PAGE and STAMPS in color. THen copy ALL the blank numbered pages in cheapo black and white. That is the most important thing.
