nervouse about interview ( venting and ranting forum )

My wife's passport with the visa was delivered today sooner than expected. Changed our plane tickets to Sunday instead of Wednesday!

Where's Lily? I hope she has good news.

Well, my husband went to his first interview today. They only asked him some simple questions, like my name, his name, his parents names, if we have any children ( we do, we have a son) and that was it. He was told that his case was completed and all the paperwork seemed to be in order. He received a yellow slip and was told to return on Dec. 17th at 12 pm for the second interview. He was told to eat lunch before arriving because it will take a while. So God willing this will be it and next week we'll hear those magic words "your visa is approved".

Abiding, that was fast! I thought they would take at least a week to deliver the visa. Congratulations!!!

Bam!! visa approved !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

here is the detail ,,

My husband got there early at around 7:30 and was in line , they let him in at 8:00 then as soon as he got there they asked him to take finger printing and then he sad he sat for 5 minutes he said ( he did not even touch the chair when they called him back to window six )

then she asked

First she said who is your petitioner ? Duh

he answered my wife

1) how did you guys meet ?

2) when did you meet in person first ?

that was it he tried to show her the pic and the zillion emails he printed but she kanda rushed him and didn't wanna see it.

that was it guys !! they did not ask any thing else , no evidence nothing i guess the staffs that i send at uscis stage was there with them.

finally my poor hasband asked her can i tell my wife i got the visa? (isn't he cute )

she said ya, goahead every thing looks good

got the slip ( what ever color you guys call it ) she told him to pick up his passport on tuesday!!!!

praise God !!!

It was quick and painless. The Filipino who pre-screened me asked more questions than the CO. The final interview was fun and very light convo. He was very nice and made me feel at ease. He even talked to me in Tagalog. He was impressed because I had the NBI with my mispelled name. Questions asked were:

-Husband's name

-When and how did we meet?

-His occupation and degree

-When he saw my Dubai PCC, he asked what did I do and how long did I stay there?

-How many people attended our wedding?

**then commented on our honeymoon pics in Baguio with butterflies at Butterfly Sanctuary, Camp John Hay Park.

Then he typed something on his PC and said the magical words "Your visa is approved".

Thanks to all who have helped and answered my questions during the process especially at NVC. It was a long, torture, stressful, depressing and made me eat a lot journey. Finally, it has come to an end. Well, not really the end because I still have yet to receive my visa. To those who will have their interview, it's not as scary as many people thought. As long as you're "real" and you have all the documents to prove, everything will be fine. Goodluck to all and Congrats to those who were already approved.

the best practice my husband told me about the interview is that " just be honest " and show your evidence every thing should be okay.
