Hi Lily! I'm happy that you and your husband are finally together. My husband's green card and SS card arrived about 11 days from POE. I don't know if it takes longer por other POEs but LAX was pretty fast.

Hi all,

So i got word of some bad news today from my wife in UK. She had her interview and they asked her the standar questions, etc.,etc. But at the end they said they could not do anything yet and had to investigate further. They did not provide any reasoning or elaboration on what else needs to be done. Does anyone have experience with this at all, what could it mean? My wife is 5 months pregnant so we were hoping to get her here ASAP and this seems like an unnecessary delay.

Thanks

it sounds like administrative processing. unfortunately there is no determined amount of time that it will take. if they kept the passport at the interview, it usually means that it will not take long.

darn, they didnt keep the passport in my wifes case. Dont they have policies in place to expedite certain requests in such instances as pregnancy?

i am sorry, but from what i read on expediting, pregnancy, unfortunately does not fall on that list. although they did not keep her passport, since she is not in a "high fraud" country, AP will most likely be a short one. no guarantees, just my take on it.

Thanks for the help. I guess I got to sit tight and hope for the best.
