My husband's second (hopefully last) interview is tomorrow at El Salvador. This 2 part interview is crazy!! Everything seems to be in order but I'm still nervous  . Hopefully tomorrow afternoon I will have great news to report. Good luck to us all. Blessings! ;)

I assume his appointment is at 12pm. They begin forming the line to enter the Embassy at 11am. If he's at the front of the line he'll come out around 2:30, if he's at the end it will before between 5 & 6. We got there at 10am and where number 14 in a line of about 40. My wife came out at about 3.

To sum up, tell your husband to get there early and stay in the front of the line!

Thanks, Abiding! His appointment is indeed at 12 pm. I talked to him today and said he is actually planning to be there like around 9:30 to 10 am to see if he can make it in front of the line. The lady at the embassy told him to be prepared to be in there at least for 4 to 5 hours but hopefully he will make it to the front of the line. If not, I'll be here eating my fingernails until 6 pm waiting to hear from him :clock::wacko:

the process was immensely long and painful- unfortunately it is not over for me. My hubby was put on AP- it was expected but what sucked was that he was so close to an approval. The woman taking his interview grabbed the pink slip and then another officer came and said to ask my hub more questions. From there we ended up on Additional Processing. I am reading stories about people being on it for like 33 months and its extremely scary. At least up to this point we knew there was a time frame, from here its the unknown. Good luck to all who have upcoming interviews.

Thank you Lily!!! I'm so happy  . POE will be until Jan. 7. My husband is like your husband. He needs to leave everything ready for the next person who's going to take over his position at his job.

So this is how it went:

He arrived at the embassy at 9:45. His appointment wasn't until 12 pm but there were already 4 people making line so my husband was # 5.

They let everyone in at around 11 am. By 11:20 he was done with the fingerprints. Then he was called to a window for the actual interview. By 1 pm he was done.

These are the questions he was asked:

What's your wife's name?

If we have any kids together?

Husband answered yes.

How many? Only one, he asked him how old our son is, his date of birth, then he asked to see our son's birth certificate and husband's birth certificate. Looked at them briefly and returned them to my husband.

When did we meet?

Husband answered, back in '84. Consul gave my husband a look of disbelief and then my husband said we had met when we were kids. Consul just laughed.

When did we start dating?

In 1991

When did we get married?

2007.

Who had petioned me to come to the US?

He said my mom.

Have you ever had any problems with the police?

Husband answered no... I work for the police.

Consul laughed again.

And that was it. The consul smiled at my husband and said "congratulations: your visa is approved. You can go pay the courier service and have a nice day"

It was a very smooth interview. He was done in no time. Thank God!!!! :star:
