Hi everyone,

After 2 long years of this visa journey, my hubby will be with me on monday the 7th. this is the best Christmas present I could ever ask for. Im so thankful for this website and the amazing people that Ive met. I wish all of you the best of luck.

NVC Left : 09/09/09 per NVC (called 9/11/09 and they told me it was sent!)

Consulate Received : 9/11/09

Packet: Never received. The consulate was nice enough to send us a letter via email, along with a list of approved doctors and translators. My fiance can easily pick up the forms required when he goes for his medical and translations.

*Update 11/26/09* Medical complete! Picking up the packet was smooth and easy! One week until our interview!! Can't wait!!

Interview Date: 12/03/09

Call from embassy to go pick up his passport with visa!: 12/11/09

Visa in Hand!

Date of Arrival: 12/26/09

Date of Marriage: 02/21/10

AOS package sent: 3/22/2010 via FEDEX

Biometrics letter received: 04/08/2010

Received letter that AOS was transferred to California! 4/19/2010

Green Card approved: 5/25/2010

April 4, 2009: Married in Tunisia

June 2009: USC received residence card

October 20, 2009: Submitted I-130 at embassy (Tunis, Tunisia)

October 26, 2009: Received Packet #3 in the mail

November 1, 2009: Sent back packet #3

November 13, 2009: Received email from embassy notifying of final visa appointment scheduled for November 23, 2009

November 23, 2009: Appointment for visa. Accepted with NO INTERVIEW!!!

November 24, 2009: Took visa in hand from the Embassy!

December 9, 2009- we both fly to AMERICA!!!!!!! (inshallah)

Thank you all so much. I am overwhelmed with getting our apartment filled with his favorite things (but in a good way) I just hope he can handle the cold winter. I want to take him to hockey games, bowling making a snowman and introduce him to all the good food we have here in the states.

I know it sounds silly, I feel like Im falling in love all over again. :dance:
