Yes, that will do fine. You just want the basic tax transcripts for 2007 and 2008. When I ordered them it was from a menu driven list that allowed me to choose what I wanted and the years I wanted. I had to select each year individually.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

There are offices for the IRS just about everywhere. I walked in and came out 10 minutes later with 3 years of records. Good Luck...

Shouldn't matter as long as you are both on the return. But you'll need to know which spouse was listed first on the return (and that spouse's social security number). I believe that's how they pull it up.

Yes, make sure you have that info. There are other questions they can ask you, but they really don't like having to do that so much. It puts them in a bad mood. Ask me how I know this. ;)

They're not necessary, but I think it 'greases the wheels' (so to speak) just a bit. It's what they prefer (and suggest, I believe). If you send in the form from your tax prep person, you must also include all the supporting documentation - all W2s, 1099s, etc. Honestly I just think the transcripts are easier.

I'm a very '#######' record-keeper :P so I've always kept copies of my tax returns and the attachments.

So I've never ordered transcripts for any of our immigration paperwork. I've always included a signed copy of the return along with the W-2's etcetera and never had any bother with USCIS. This includes the ROC petition we filed in January of this year.

Just sayin' that IF you have the complete return and attachments, you should be fine.
