Because elections are won by popularity, but leading the free world means you sometimes will make decisions that are unpopular. Cheney essentially said the same thing. Obama's numbers are nowhere near where they were at the end of Bush's second term, and it is relevant to see that even now, Bush and Cheney are highly unpopular...because they're policies were failures. Obama's been in office 10 months into his only term, and the Right Wingers think he's doomed. Great theatrics...zero substance.

Every time Obama opens his mouth abroad he reiterates that we are all "equals" and partners .. no one being the dominate leader,,,, now you reassign him back to "leader"....... Cool! I thought we would have to wait until 2012 for that position to be filled again.

Does that commonly used expression for the U.S. President make it hard for you to swallow when referring to Obama? Tsk, tsk, tsk. You still haven't gotten over your birther movement, have you Danno?

It may well be likely that leadership doesn't necessitate being a bully, Danno. Other than that... by all means. When the objective is a peaceful world where exploitation doesn't exist, then leadership usually takes the form of helping other, less fortunate nations- independent of their circumstances- overcome those shortcomings to create a better world which we all share.
