They both are snail mailed out. the NOA1 will have your case number on it. The NOA2, from what i have read is your approval from the USCIS. then it gets moved to the NVC.

Which visa are you petitioning for?

Thank you again for your response. I've filed the I-130 petition for my husband.

good luck and hopefully a quick journey for you guys. Too bad you didnt know about the other form to fill out for the e-mail and txt message alerts. I was lucky I found out about it reading on here. I am deployed, so i would have been at my friend's mercy and that of the USPS for the NOA. You do have someone that will be able to check your mail right? If they can, just have them send you the case number so you can get email alerts.

I just mailed my I130 to Chicago today. Who else is filing this month? Good luck to all of us.

We sent the I-130 to VSC on November 04, but we received the NOA1/I-797C on November 23 from CSC by mail. It seems our case transfers to CSC from VSC

Good luck everyone!

I did read about the form on the uscis.gove site but at the last moment decided to send in the petition without it since it had been dragging for a while. In hindsight I should've I guess. Ah well. One of my best friends is checking up on it so I guess I'll wait until they mail out the first NOA which should be soon hopefully. As soon as I get the case #, I'll be signing up for the email alters.

Good luck w/your deployment and immigration journey as well! :)

Just checking in.

Last night I did a search for timelines here on VJ. I only searched for CSC specifically, but what I found (IIRC) was that all August filers were done and more than half of Sept filers. So........... that sounds pretty good. It's almost December and then we won't be the newest group, lol.

I'm not sure what to think about my timeline, before I knew which Service center ours would go to, I entered VSC and it came up with around 20 similar timelines. When I changed it to CSC, which is where ours went, there are no similar timelines, so I'm not sure how to estimate ours, I guess I'll just have to wait and see...

yeah that would be great! the only problem is me being able to get the info to the NVC for the AOS since most of that stuff is in alaska and i will be in kuwait until toward the end of january. I have access to my w2s and I filed my taxes through turbotax, so it isnt an issue to get that stuff. Although, that is way ahead right now. I know it would be nice for her to do her interview when im visiting her...but I am guessing that we wont be that far until march right after I leave from the philippines. Oh well, that just gives me another reason to go to the philippines again. I know Mhay doesnt want to go to alaska in the winter time anyway...get there in the summer and that will be nice. Good luck to everyone.

Just wanted to update that I did a walkin / walk-in biometrics today in Nashville. Not a soul in there except the guard and the person that takes fingerprints. It was very easy, they were professional, efficient and friendly. My biometrics was scheduled for 12/16 but I'm hoping to get my EAD sooner than later so I took the chance to do a walk-in...hopefully it will pay off!

Truckerlove, it'd be best if you join the Adjustment of Status forum since that is what you're doing. This is the CR1 through Consular Processing and everyone else's timelines/forms/process is different. Not trying to kick you out, or anything.
