Alright all,

Interview right around the cornor, and Im attending it with my husband.

Any interivew tips? I'm planning on walking up to the "teller" window for interview. And see if they make me sit down or let me stand there.

I've seprated the Old evidence from the new since our approval, but taking it all with me.

What are the should do and should not do's???

Im really nervous, can you tell?

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

For your husband: Stick up for yourself and be confident in your answers. If they are rude, don't let that put you down. You being there will definitely help in my opinion. Good luck girl! I can't wait until I hear approval inshallah :)

The 2 times I was in the embassy for paperwork, they treated me real nice, but that one time when Mohand went to get a form notarized to be used in USA, they gave him so much ####### and etc, and would not notarize a legal document for the USA, I called State Dept, raised holy hell of how rude and the un-called for remarks the clerk said to him. I got a call from a supervisor there, a Consular Officer who regrated the situation, and the clerk was written up, but he never forgot it. The same day State Dept called, and said embassy will notarize the paper, and assured me that situation will never happen again.

The next day the C.O. called me , said Mo just left, paper was notarized, and commented how calm and polite he was threw all the hell the previous day.

I wont let them treat him like #######, that is the main reason Im going.

keep in mind that being rude may be a tactic used to get the one being interviewed off balance and flustered.

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Currently I'm waiting on an interview date, so what I've done is making a list of all possible questions and answer them when John and I have time to. Just keep practicing I guess, and be calm and sure (that's for Mohannad) :)

Good luck Beth!! I can't wait to hear good news in a few days!! luv ya :luv:

Some of us on the China Section recommend wearing pink undies or sash.

See, there, pink is the colour of 'approved' paper ;)

GOOD LUCK !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
