Hi,

Today My interview was at 10.05am in Atlanta. I arrived at 9:30am and gave my letter at check-in counter. I waited for 45 minutes for my name to be called. The interview as such was quick. The lady asked me to do oath and went through quickly all the Yes/No questions and asked me if I owe any taxes which did not. She asked me about my recent travel. I told her I travelled once after application was filed. I offered her amended travel sheet,

which she didn't take instead modified the original sheet with additional travel.

Then She showed me the sheet with question, who elects the congress and she asked me write down the answer People elects the Congress.

She asked me

what are the major political parties now in US,

Which party current president belongs to,

Who is commander-in chief of military

Author of declaration of Independence

3 of the original 13 colonies

Then she asked me If I am willing to attend the oth cermony today , I gave her emphatic YES answer.

Finally she told me she is recommending me for Citizenship, however before I do oath, her supervisor will do one final review which made me little nervous.

I waited for another 1 hour before I received the Oath letter at arround 12:15pm

My oath cermony was completed at 2:30pm and I became US Citizen.

First of all, congratulations  !!! Can't wait for my turn to post my experience here. I actually was thinking about initiating a thread with same title in mind. Basically for those Naturalization applicants who had their interview in Atlanta, Georgia. And I am glad you started it.

I am looking forward to posting the blow-by-blow account of my Interview experience.

Your stay there was indeed a quickie. I am fervently hoping that my sched will be in the morning so I can have my oath the same day, instead of taking another trip for the oath.

Wish me luck!!!

My interview was today also and I had the same questions. Everything went well except for the waiting. My appointment was at 1:40pm and I think my name was called at about 2:20pm, which is not so bad. I had my interview in Philadelphia, the lady was really nice and the civics questions plus the writing and reading test was very easy. Everybody that knows some english could have passed that test. So for all of you out there that are about to take the test, please don't do what I did because I was freaking out and the test was a breaze.

Congratulations! Glad you were able to get the same day oath ceremony :)

We will be there Oct. 22nd, 9:05 A.M. Thursday for naturalization interview.

Little more info about the oath if you please.

Cameras? Video? time frame for oath program

Cameras and videos allowed, yes. When I did my oath ceremony in Atlanta it was for a huge group - nearly 200 - and we were to be there at 1 pm and it didn't finish until 4. I think it will depend on how many people are being sworn in.

We are booked into the Quality Inn for Wed. and Thursday. Know where the best international food store is in Atlanta?

Check out the DeKalb Farmer's Market - it is incredibly big and has a huge selection of International merchandise - both fresh and packaged - from all around the world. http://www.dekalbfarmersmarket.com/ It is located near exit 40 off of I-285 East - a few miles south of where USCIS offices are.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Hello Koo,

First of all, I wish you a successful interview in your upcoming interview at Atlanta. Hope your journey will finally come to an end on a happy and cheerful note. Mine would be there proabably, but don't know when. Will it be possible ( only if it is possible ) for you to ask your IO for oath dates in December 2009 or January 2010. Just wanted to prepare myself and plan my trip ahead of time, as my date of interview will fall in those months (hopefully). I would really appreciate your help.

Thanks
